I was feeling in a rut when it came to my look and decided to see if there was anyone near me who would give me some lessons on hair and makeup. I reached out to Ana through Thumbtack and she quickly messaged me back to set up an appointment. She is a beauty professional who knows how to make you feel comfortable and cared for. After her lessons I feel much more confident in my own ability now to style my hair. She also did an amazing job giving me some highlights when I came back again. I’ve always been a dark haired girl and this was my first time trying something new. I feel like a new person and love my hair! If you’re looking for a teacher or a stylist for an event or just everyday I would highly recommend Ana, you will be so happy you came to her! She is great!

Ana was awesome! She was able to help me out in a short amount of time before my wedding. I decided against another artist and she was able to do the hair and makeup trial soon and she was early! She was very responsive via text. She was so knowledgeable and taught me many different things about both hair and makeup. She had good rapport with my bridal party and myself. She made me feel and look beautiful. She started out light with makeup instead of full force and adjusted it as she went. I didn't have any hesitation after the trial. On the day of the wedding, she was early and finished with all of the girls before the time we had figured. She educated everyone as she went and was very helpful.She was awesome and I am so glad I found her!

Ana styled the hair for my entire bridal party -- 4 bridesmaids and 1 bride. All 5 girls were completed in under 3 hours which kept us right on schedule. Ana was punctual, professional, and had a great personality that kept me laughing (instead of stressing!). Pricing was reasonable and in line with other competitors, and Ana was willing to travel to my location. But really her work speaks for itself -- she understood my vision and executed it perfectly. My bridesmaid's up-dos lasted all afternoon and all night. My pin-straight hair doesn't hold a curl, but my 'do stayed put through the ceremony and the pictures. I absolutely recommend Ana for bridal hair/elegant hair, and would look forward to working with her again in the future!

I hired Ana and her co artist for my bridal, bridesmaids and sponsors hair &make up. They are professional, punctual, positive vibes( i love how they made everyone feel comfortable), able to accommodate some last minute changes and made everyone looked beautiful and radiant. All praises for their work until now. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thank you for an awesome job!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on time spent on the service, travel etc.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I confirm date time and number of hair and makeup Services so I can email a detailed proposal and contract with hair and skin prep recommendations so everything stays on time and runs smoothly. Then I like to see photos of the venue, dress and hair and makeup ideas they like to make sure everything goes together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Formerly The Coordinator For the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as well as co-owner of a theater group for 10+ years. Both positions required me to set up events, hire caterers, find venues, interact with guests and always keep my mind on the time and planned timeline. I also worked in a salon for a few years so have experience with various hair and skin types.
