I hired Joli from Calepa USA as my interior designer on November 2017 and my experience with her has been a total disaster from the beginning. I am extremely disappointed with the service she provided for me to the point that I believe it is my duty to inform the public that she is unprofessional and deceitful. She overcharged me for materials and also for work that wasn’t done. Joli is not qualified to be a designer because she has no creativity skills. I was the one who selected all the materials (colors, types prices). All the ideas came from me as well. Joli never cared about quality and rushed the work so she could get her money. Joli claimed she had 30 years of experience and she guaranteed me I would be happy. What a mistake that was! She is probably the worst designer I ever encountered with.Mar 8, 2018Verified
I was looking for someone to do some interior designing. Yoli fit the bill. She showed on time and was very professional. She came up with several interesting designs. I picked the perfect one for me and I couldn’t be happier. She charged a fair price and her work was excellent. I’m buying a second home down in the Keys and I definitely plan on using Yoli again. Yolanda asked me for a review and I cannot be happier to do it for her! She did our Kitchen, and now it looks awesome. She made a presentation of several design options for me, introduced me different materials for counter top and backsplash that gave me a wider vision of inexpensive possibilities to make the kitchen looks WOW! She was constantly in search for new ideas and ways to combine together materials and color. She took care of the whole process; she referred me to cabinet makers and stone companies with incredible good prices and excellent work. She was very prompt at the start of each work day and coordinates all the people involved in the project. I highly recommend Yoly for any Interior Design project.Aug 13, 2018
I highly recommend Yoli - Calepa USA LLC. She is outstanding. Electrician, painter, tile installer and carpenter are excellent craftsmen. I could not be happier with the process and the results!! I obtained several quotes before I decided on hiring Yoli at Calepa USA LLC. She is amazing. She arranged for estimates and was there by my side for the painter, electrician, carpenter and flooring tile installer's visit for giving the estimate's. I was impressed with her vendors and their knowledge. The estimates she obtained were less than the ones I had secured on my own AND I liked her vendors better. Insurance and Licenses were obtained on each vendor as well. Yoli was a huge help during the repair and renovation process post IRMA - She was on the site every morning and at the end of each day! I could go to work and take care of my children without negotiating the daily needs of the vendors. Progress was SWIFT! Quality is amazing and the whole renovation went smoothly. I highly recommend Yoli for any renovation, new construction, repair, large or small job! She is amazing in her design advice, communication skills and is so energetic!May 23, 2018Verified
I recently had to remodel my kitchen. I called Yoli. She came to my house. Very professional. Took measurements and pictures. Within a week she had drawings and samples of material and came up with a plan to take my kitchen from eh to wow. She worked within my budget. Yoli came up with color and design schemes that I never thought of. Her workers did the job around my schedule. They cleaned up at the end of each day. I had my new kitchen in less than 5 weeks. I am now proud to have people over and display my new kitchen. I highly recommend Yoli to anyone that is looking to give your home a new look. Johnny BassoMay 3, 2018
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I don't charge anything for a first visit. We meet for me to know about the project, what the customer has in mind, their time frame and budget. After I get this information I can calculate how much time is going to take me to develop the project, do drawings and look for samples to show, I tell the customer my fee, if they agree a collect the 50% and set up a 2nd meeting included in the price, I will come back with 3 or 4 options and samples of all the materials shown in each option: tile, wall paper, color scheme paints, fabric, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Depending in the size of the project, I will meet the customer again in 2 or three weeks. I will present several options of each of the room involved, with samples of material involved and a rough price for each option. It is very common that changes in the project occurs, some time customer like 'something' from different options, I will re-do drawings to put everything together and get a final price.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am an Architect graduated in Venezuela 30 years ago and an Interior Designer graduated her in USA in 2009. I have a LEED certification.
