Introduction: My name is Thomas, and I am a Florida licensed acupuncture physician.
Briefly, my background includes a master's degree in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. I have served as a board commissioner for the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), wherein I served as chair of the examination development committee for the national board examination in acupuncture and chair of the national ethics and disciplinary committee.
I have enjoyed a successful acupuncture career at UPMC, a global health enterprise headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, that includes 20 hospitals, 400 doctors' offices and outpatient sites.
In addition, I developed a successful independent practice that includes referrals from colleagues in the health-care profession, such as MDs, DOs and chiropractors.
My primary focus is on home health care, offering my services to individuals not able to travel to a doctors office, enjoys the convenience the doctor visiting them or of a because of work schedule can't make it to the office before it closes.

Thomas was my mother's acupuncturist for more than a year. She suffers from severe post-herpetic neuralgia. He came to our home, which was ideal, since her mobility is limited. He was very professional, yet compassionate and able to put her at ease during her treatments. His skill level was high and he made sure to get an overall picture of her health and condition to decide on the best way to treat her. He was able to adjust her treatments to correspond to her level of pain and give her much-needed relief. His kind and caring demeanor made her look forward to the treatments. He kept us informed if traffic would affect his arrival time, and made the effort to be flexible when scheduling changes had to be made. If he had not moved out of our area, she would still be under his care. I would highly recommend his work.

The best treatment ever. I did't know what else go do about so strong and persistent pain at my lower back, just nedeed a few sessions and I felt like new. He did some cupping too, felt so good.
I recommend to everybody that is suffering with any kind of discomfort, really worth it.

I suffer from chronic migraines. I tried several different medications but nothing worked. I turned to acupuncture to see if I could get some relief. I was a little nervous about it at first, but Mr. Ost was friendly and patient and answered all my questions. I had 6 sessions in total, and I have not had a migraine in over 2 months.

I described the pain in my spine and my digestive issues to Dr. Ost. He asked good questions to seek information on solving my problems. He went above and beyond to give me professional, respectful and excellent care. His counseling and discussions with me went far beyond just a treatment. He shows sincere care to lessen my pain and treat my well being as a whole.
