Introduction: With grand masters degrees, my partner and I specialize in all 5 dances of the Argentine Tango. with 55+years of combined experience we also teach all 10 ballroom, Latin, and swing dances ! :) Our work stands above all others in this area in that our students excel to a higher level of achievement in the real world of competition, and social dance. Private Dance Lessons

My husband and I have been taking Argentine tango lessons from Dutch for one year. We began our lessons in preparation for a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. We have enjoyed our dance lessons so much that we continue to have lessons on a weekly basis. Dutch is an accomplished dancer and teacher. Both private and group lessons have been exactly what one could ask for. Dutch has the experience and credentials as a teacher that provide an exceptional professional experience during our lessons. Personally Dutch provides an atmosphere that is friendly, welcoming, patient and fun and we look forward to our lessons very much. Lessons are held on a special dance floor in his home. Because of Dutch's variety of dance ability we will also take lessons from him in waltz, fox trot and swing to prepare for an upcoming ocean cruise. We highly recommend Dutch for dance lessons and also have requested that he and his dance partner perform at a local event for our Association.

I have taken dance lessons for many years and I have had several instructors. Dutch has been one of the BEST I have ever had. No one breaks down the moves the way he does in his Argentine Tango classes. Dutch will work with you step by step until he knows you are ready to move forward. The best part if his teaching style, is he never lets you forget the Basics. I have had many people try and teach the Flashy moves first and focus only on the foot work, but when you try to dance in a social setting, you are completely lost. Dutch puts all the focus on the lead and follow that comes with a good frame. Frame comes first, then the foot work. After taking just a few classes with Dutch, I had enough solid fundamentals to fall back on that I could dance to an entire song without ever stopping or needing to think what to do next. I am now working on my silver syllabus with Dutch and my partner Carol and I am enjoying every minute of it.

Dutch is a caring, concerned professional instructor whose heart is truly in the sport of dance. Dutch has opened my eyes to the world of rhythm and music. I know when to take the lead, and when to follow. I am so appreciative of his top notch attention to detail, which has given me a solid foundation in many dances including Argentine Tango. Dutch takes the art of dance seriously and strives for excellence in his students, giving them a solid foundation. I speak from experience. Under Dutchs instruction, my children and I have participated in several dance competitions in which we walked away with medals in Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Bolero, Cha-cha, and Argentine Tango. I dont have to think about how to dance anymore. It just comes naturally. I am forever grateful to Dutch for his high standards. He has given me and my children the gift of dance, which we will cherish forever.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My system of pricing is not complicated at all, its what ever my students can afford in a suggested donation, dependent on their budget. And I do No long term contracts! I also offer group practice days and nights, which are much more affordable.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Firstly, I introduce them to several dances that I believe they are capable of as a Novice, Amateur, Pro/Am, or Professional. "Then I find out which dances they like the best and are best suited for them, then we proceed from there to higher levels always pushing them toward their goals and making sure that they are always comfortable .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always looking into new manuals for the latest developments in old and new figures in dance and the technique thereof . I have a DVIDA Certified Grand Masters Degree, sanctioned by the World Ballroom Dancesport Federation in Oxford England. Which in my opinion is equal to a doctorate in any other profession.
