Kitchen Remodel
The quality of their work is great. Eco clearly hires great employees and they come to work on time. I was frustrated with the manager of the project, Tony, however which is why I give them 4 stars instead of 5. The workers would often come to us telling us they were planning on doing X scope of work that day based on Tony’s instructions (for example painting the ceiling only) when the estimate clearly stated paint walls and ceiling. There were a few hiccups along the way which I felt we took some responsibility for and yet Eco (and I mostly think the manager, Tony) should have caught these hiccups, as well. However, he did not want to admit any responsibility. Desirae is friendly to speak with but doesn’t seem to have much knowledge of construction and whenever they are unsure of what is being asked of them, she how off the radar and I just thought that ended up being more of a loss to them in terms of time. At the end of the day, the job was completed and our kitchen looks great. We give hats off to Juan who did very good work.

I had Josh go out to one of my clients yachts I manage. Josh is very professional and provides top notch customer service. He is very knowledgeable in his line of work. He kept me up to date over the course of the job, and also provides the highest quality services.

As the initial project has wrapped up, there were a number of small details which left me a bit underwhelmed. - The cleanliness and care of Josh's crew was a concern as items surrounding the construction area were not well protected and required more cleanup/repair than I anticipated having to do, especially considering they were hired to repair my home. Some examples: paint removal from surrounding surfaces, spot cleaning tracked-in grease, patching "banged" trim from appliance relocating, replacing warped bathroom door - Missed details like insufficient paint coverage in areas, missing grout joints, not planning the order of the installation caused some areas to be left unpolished or unfinished entirely. - Despite some personal requests and upgrades, the final cost ended up being 30% more. I know to expect some margin of error for surprises. The original estimate was $4572.50 and the final cost was $6547.19. Overall, they completed the job and it's functional. I did not complain or haggle over additional expenses and paid as agreed. The transaction was average. I might consider using them again for projects where being "rough around the edges" is acceptable and mentally add extra margin for error in estimate price.

Painting the whole condo after removing wallpaper. Carpet replacement. Installation of the bathroom vanities and new faucets. Removing drop ceiling in the kitchen and installation of the new lights. Fixing a crack in the bathtub and reglazing it. Repair of patio wall which was water damaged. Eco Restoration did a good job on the tight schedule however initial estimate differed from the final fees.
Oct 13, 2015VerifiedEco Restoration and Construction, LLC's replyThank you so much for the review. We're sorry there was additional costs, as stated on the proposal we can only give an estimate based on what we see. Once work is started there is always a chance we find additional work that is behind walls. Things come up that we were not able to see during the initial assessment. We do not like surprises any more than our clients however, they do happen and the price increase or decrease is always communicated to the client before work is done to give the customer the opportunity to make an informed decision.

Josh is the BEST contractor that we have ever hired. He made the whole experience of dealing with mold remediation an extremely smooth process. From our first meeting with Josh, my husband and I were impressed and knew we wanted his company to handle our problem. We were right. He was always available to answer questions and in a most patient and informative manner. He had many suggestions and always made us feel like we were very important. His crew was always on time, respectful, and good at what they did. We definitely recommend ERC Restoration if you need that type of service. They were beyond our expectations.
