Constance did a wonderful job as our wedding officiant! We were planning a destination wedding in the Miami area. She communicated well with all questions we had. She also performed the ceremony very well! Our three year old daughter was included in the ceremony. Constance was very patient with her and helped her throughout the sand ceremony along with my husband and I. I highly recommend her.

What can I say about the Reverend Pedro Martínez? How about PERFECT! When we first spoke on the phone it felt like I was talking to someone I have always known. Very nice man. That phone call made me think he is the best person to officiate our wedding. The price was right. I highly recommend paying the extra amount for the rehearsal. We are so happy we did that. It made everything on our wedding day go smoothly. Plus I cried like a baby at the rehearsal and only teared up at wedding. That's a plus. Didn't need makeup messes :) He was always communicating with me to make sure everything I wanted done at the ceremony was perfect. He answered all of my emails and text messages promptly. Even at the last minute when I asked to add our moms to our Sand Ceremony he was happy to do so. He was early to the rehearsal and early on our wedding day. He is very professional, courteous, polite, respectful, and that smile on his face never left him. We loved everything about this wonderful man. He was even on board when I asked him to do a funny picture with us. Don't look any further. You will not regret hiring him to officiate your wedding. Just Amazing! We Love you Rev.! Judge Rob was amazing!!!! From our first meeting, we knew we had the right person for our wedding. Rob was prompt, asked many questions, took many notes and in the end delivered a beautiful ceremony that didn't leave a single dry eye in the audience. He was great at rehearsal, making suggestions and orchestrating events. He became our MC after the ceremony and beautifully directed the events. We felt like a member or our own family had married us.

Nicole was great. Hair and makeup for wedding and make up lasted all day in humid Florida heat. She gets what my MOH and I are looking for in style and gave us options in making the hairstyle and make up work for us. Very easy to talk to, felt like made a friend in a few short hours

To put it simply, we could not have asked for a better DJ than Daniel Paulish. Planning a destination wedding is difficult, and we were determined to find a DJ that was not cheesy. Daniel Paulish is the exact opposite of cheesy. Words that come to mind when I think about the entire experience with Daniel - all the correspondence, meeting in person, the actual wedding - are: classy, respectful, fun, light-hearted, professional... He answered all of my 100 questions, gave us awesome suggestions for everything from the timing of different parts of our wedding to the uplighting colors, and was the absolute, most perfect DJ we could have hoped for at our wedding. I highly recommend him!

Great experience! They were friendly and professional. They definitely went out of their way to make sure that they got the right shots, and they took time in advance to interview us about what we wanted from our wedding photos. They sent some photos over quickly for us to share with family and Facebook, and then the rest come soon after. Highly recommended!!

Ms.Rossana and her husband welcomed my fiancé and I to their home for a cake tasting. She was very caring, very nice and professional. She made me feel so comfortable and asked questions to assure that she understood my vision. Her work is beautiful and exceeded my expectations. Everyone complimented me for the wedding cake, definitely worth every dime and by the way the cake we tasted were extremely exquisite. Super affordable, she will work with your budget and will give you 110 percent. Love , love absolutely love Ms. Rosanna, will definitely use her services again.

MJ was a phenomenal DJ at our wedding! He was very professional in our conversations with us, came early to get set up, and honored all our requests. We gave him a list of songs we wanted played. Not only did he play each song at the right time, but he filled up the space with other songs that were within our and our guests' like. He definitely knew how to keep the party going. Everyone at our wedding, young and old, had a lot of fun! We highly recommend MJ!

Hubby and I had had the most wonderful wedding day and now we will be able to remember it for years to come thanks to Diana. From the day we met for our pre-wedding appointment, we knew she would be awesome to work with. On wedding day she came early and took all the pictures we had discussed. She also made me feel calm and relaxed (something we brides appreciate). We received our pictures ahead of time and I have to say, they were beautiful!

Rob was absolutely amazing!! My fiancée and I did an engagement photoshot with him and it was so much fun. My fiance is not the type to like taking pictures so I was a little worried but rob made it so simple. He basically told us to hang out, talk, laugh and he would just going to be be snapping pics. Our session lasted about an hour and a half and it was perfect timing didn't feel super long. His price based very reasonable considering I talked to other photographers around the same price but their work did not compare. The return time on the final pictures was super fast and they look amazing! I couldn't be happier. Will Def consider Rob for our wedding once we have everything planned out. Check out his Instagram for more pictures!

Laura was a pleasure to work with. Very professional and has a lot of experience. I used her to film a family interview and she was very patient throughout the whole process (and we are a very vocal bunch!) She showed up with 2 cameras and even let us look at the interview on the TV while filming. The quality was excellent. Definitely would recommend her for any video occasion.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a videographer and what do they do?

A videographer professionally films weddings and other events and edits the footage to create film keepsakes or marketing materials for their clients. Wedding videographers record all the key elements of your wedding day, ceremony and reception, and then edit the hours of film during post-production to make a wedding video, social media highlight reels, and any other film features you choose. Wedding videography captures, in live action, your vows, the cake-cutting, the first dance, reception toasts, the decor, the guests and all the details of your day. Many wedding videographers also interview guests (based on an interview list provided by the couple) and incorporate the recorded responses into the wedding video. Event videography typically costs less than wedding videography, as events are shorter with less detail. The national average cost for event videography is $500-$760, while the national average cost for wedding videography is $990-$1,260. A videographer usually does not need to be licensed, but it is important to confirm they have insurance and good standing in the business community, as well as good client reviews. A great majority of the work happens during post-production. The pros watch and blend together the hours of footage they took (sometimes from multiple cameras) to capture the story of your wedding day or event.

What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How do you choose a wedding videographer?

A wedding videographer will create a lifetime memory for you from edited video footage of your wedding day, ceremony and reception. Choosing a wedding videographer starts with looking online at portfolios of their past work. There’s no need to talk to anyone unless you love what you see. Next, make sure they have good reviews and past client experience; don’t be shy about asking for references if there aren’t any posted online. When you find someone who has a style you love, ask if they are available on your wedding day. If so, it’s time to talk pricing. Be clear about your maximum budget, and ask what kind of packages they offer. Pricing will depend on the number of crew needed for filming, the hours they are required to be onsite, post-production editing, and the length of the final product. Talk with several wedding videographers to get a feel for what prices are like in your region. Nationally, the average cost for wedding videography ranges between $990 and $1,260 per event. Once you agree on a product and have a plan, get everything in a written and signed contract. Clearly state the details of what is expected for your wedding day and from the final product. Be prepared to pay a deposit to reserve their services for the day, then pay the remainder upon receiving the video.

How much does it cost for a photographer for a wedding?

Finding the right wedding photographer can make a big difference for your ceremony. Nationally, the average wedding photographer’s price ranges from $800 to $1,000, but costs can be much higher in areas like Chicago, New York or Los Angeles where some couples spend $2,000 to $5,000 or more for the photographer they want. Factors that can affect your wedding photographer prices include the photographer’s reputation and experience. Heavy hitters can command top rates, especially during wedding-season weekends. Day of the week also affects your cost. You may get a $200 discount on wedding photographer prices if you get married on a Friday in November rather than a Saturday in June. Time onsite is also an important cost factor. Hiring a photographer to snap photos from the moment you wake up until after last call at the reception is going to cost more than five hours of pictures during the day. Multiple photographers, special lighting, and videography will also increase your costs. Ultimately you want to find someone who has a style you love and can provide the number of edited shots you want for a price you can handle. Learn more about hiring a wedding photographer.

What should you ask your wedding videographer before hiring?

Finding the perfect wedding videographer doesn’t have to be stressful. Asking a few key questions upfront will help you find the right fit for your big day. Before talking with wedding videographers, research their work online. Look at their websites, business profiles and social media, and see what their finished wedding videos look like. If the style fits what you’re envisioning, it’s time to reach out. During initial contact, make sure you get along with the person. This is important since they’ll be interacting with you and your guests.

Your first question should be about their availability; there’s no point in going further if they’re booked on your wedding day. Ask to see references if they’re not readily available online. Next, it’s time to talk about money. Ask how they determine rates or what kind of packages they offer. When you settle on a rate and the services you want, make sure to have a written contract that outlines everything, including cost, length of time they film, what post-production will include, and when you can expect to receive the edited project.
