- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are no upfront fees on personal injury cases. The fee on personal injury cases is 28% of the settlement amount for cases resolved without the need to file a lawsuit. This is less than the typical 33 1/3 percent typically charged by attorneys. The fee on a criminal cases depends on the case. I will typically charge $1500 for a misdemeanor (first dui, petit theft, possession of marijuana, assault, driving on a suspended license and some domestic violence cases). On felony cases, I typically charge $3,000.00 on a simple drug possession case and more on second and first degree felonies.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I keep all of my clients updated on a regular basis. There is an intake process where we ask you for information about the accident on a personal injury case, or the offense on a criminal case. My staff and I will then investigate liability and coverage for accident cases, obtain witness statements and visit the scene of the accident. On criminal cases, we use an investigator to obtain witness statements. I give every client my personal cell phone number.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
