A pleasure to work for you..!😀
I hired KM Landscaping to renovate our backyard. I knew that it needed the yard needed a lot of work taking out trees, bushes and general clean up before the redo could begin. I went over what I wanted removed from the yard with Kylie, but unfortunately I don’t think he listened because I had to repeat myself several times and he still did not do what was asked. When the contract requires cleanup it means the grounds have no plants or roots, railroad ties, or trash left. My yard was not cleaned up as required by the contract. Kylie covered tree saplings and other things mentioned above with mulch and thought it was acceptable! When cutting down the trees he never even made clean cuts and actual left stumps inside a pottery container. Kylie did not measure correctly the amount of mulch needed for the job. He tried to put the blame on the fact that the yard had so much in it that he severely underestimated, but it was clearly a matter of not being able to do the simple math (area length times width) and he is suppose to be the professional! He planted something that he did not even know what it was. Unfortunately since he knew nothing about this plant, he didn’t know that would grow much larger than the plant he put it in front of. He was very offended when I told him this and wrote me in a rambling, grammatically incorrect, punctuation lacking, email telling me he had a degree in Horticulture. The landscapers that I have had look over the job to fix it have stated what a horrible job he did and the mistakes he made. It cost me more to repair and complete the job in the end than when I started. Additionally, he could not even see the problem we would have with the mulch washing away because he did not see the incline in the yard! Do not hire this person to landscape your yard.Mar 7, 2017VerifiedKM Landscaping, Inc. K.'s reply
Before we initiated our services we had discussed raising or lifting a couple of over grown trees which once was done. Sandi then instructed us to cut them completely out in multiple areas not discussed, charged or mentioned in the original contract. Included with the contract was 8 cu.yrds. of mulch and I had explained to her that if we take that much out of the yard it would leave large open areas and we would need at least double the amount of mulch. (Hardly a case of under estimating) I also told her we do not provide stump grinding services and after the trees were cut she would have stumps. After removing all the unwanted vegetation and trees we regraded the surface and on the South perimeter the top of a Rail Road Tie was seen which at some point was placed to hold up her fallen down rotted wood fence (See her Pic).Yes we covered it with mulch as the if we dug up the Rail Road Tie it would jeopardize the integrity of the fence. It would also make no sense to remove material below dirt level. When buying plant material at nursery they did not have in stock the variety of "IRIS" specified so we substituted it with another variety and I picked up 1 Dwarf Tibuchina Purple plant (I PAID FOR) because I knew it would go well with the look which it did. This was a dwarf species that would not out grow other plant material. Apparently she thinks she knows our business better than us... I should also mention she has not paid for our work nor material (go figure).
