FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been shooting since I was 8 years old. It was a hobby that grew into a love affair. A few years ago I injured my foot and was laid up for about 6 weeks. It gave me time to reflect and really consider some things in my own life. Was I happy? What do I really love doing and why aren't I making moves to accomplish it? The answer was photography. It reflects my thoughts, my emotions. It gives me the opportunity to express myself and be creative. It brings me satisfaction. What more is there in life than doing what you love?
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Our most common types of jobs are weddings. We really really enjoy them! We love the details of the day, the emotions. Theres nothing like the look of a groom when he sees his bride for the first time. Or the tears of a bride getting ready to walk down the aisle. Weddings remind us ( My wife and I shoot together) of our wedding day 14 years ago. Theres something inside us that stirs when we see other couples so deep in love saying I do. We also shoot portraits, children and seniors.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your homework! Unfortunately in this business you really do get what you pay for, especially when it comes to looking for wedding photography. Dont get me wrong. We will work with a bride on a budget or put together custom design packages for our clients. But we arent going to do a full day wedding for $200.00 either. We work hard and and quality can come with a price tag at times. Thats the cold hard truth. There are also many businesses out there that are not legal. Do they have a license? Do they pay their taxes? Do you write your check out to a business or a person? Photographers that are in this for the long haul have their license to be in business...like we do :o)
