Introduction: I have 30 years experience, most of my students are adults now since kids today usually don’t have time for practice. I do instruct some younger people if they have at least 30 minutes a day to practice between lessons I teach in my home and I go to homes close to Estero where I live. Piano, keyboard and organ are the only instruments I teach. The interaction with students, and especially watching progress is my greatest joy. I teach a traditional classical method to children, and whatever style adults would like, since their musical tastes are already established.

I’ve gotten way more out of my 6 months of lessons than I ever thought I would. I spent several months trying to learn on my own with the use of an app. Needless to say, it didn’t work out with the app. Ann is so talented, patient, and kind. I really couldn’t have done any better by choosing her :)

Ann was a great teacher! I could tell from the moment that I sat down with her that she loves teaching piano. Her patience and willingness to work with me was so encouraging! From the first time we met we worked on things that would greatly improve my skills and push me toward my goals. She asked what I was most interested in learning and we worked on that. Overall I had a wonderful experience working with Ann! I would highly recommend her!

Using Thumbtack was so easy and I found the piano teacher that I was looking for! Ann Webster is a phenomenal teacher who really knows her work, and knows how to really individualize her teaching to each student's need and style of learning. I started about seven months ago with Ann and look forward to continuing with her for a very long time. She respects and encourages all questions and discussion, and is always on time with her appointments. I would recommend her to anyone looking to learn piano, beginner to advanced!

We have known Ann for 2 years now and are so happy we were referred to her. At appropriate times she will joke and have fun with my 8 year old son and gently pushes him along to advance his skills and knowledge. Ann brings out the best in my son by giving him choices and encouragement. Ann is a phenomenal piano teacher for young students, though she works with people of any age.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At my home $30 per half hour. At others homes it's $45 first half hour, then $15 each 15 minutes beyond that.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If they are transferring from another teacher I go over what's been covered and how long since their last lesson. If they are new to keyboard, I find out where they want to go with piano. Except for very young students, I ask for a page describing what they wish to accomplish in the next year
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been learning piano my whole life, since five years of age. I frequently work on new types of music so I can help all of my students
