I will admit, I am/was probably a more difficult case. I thought I was doomed to a life of panic in social situations and forever longing to be couch bound away from the stress of daily life. I have tried medications, supplements, regular therapy, special diets... After my second session with Sarah (yes, sometimes it takes more than one so one must be patient with one's own healing), I can not describe the amount of love and calm I feel moving about day to day life. I finally feel free.
I worked with Kirsten from Swasdi Yoga for a private yoga session to help with my stress management. Kirsten contacted me right away to set up a time and date that worked with my schedule. She arrived at my home on time and was very professional, friendly and adapted the session to meet any physical limitation I had. After our session, I felt calm, peaceful and energized. I will be continuing with Swasdi Yoga and will recommend Kirsten to my friends and family as it was a very satisfying experience.
I was planning to text you at 10 am because I wasn't sure if you would be available around 9am. I can honestly say that I feel calm and I feel less stress. Normally, I would feel uneasy when I enter my home but I don't feel this way anymore. I woke up with a happy heart and I can finally think clearly :) I feel so courageous to the point where I am working on my assignments with confidence. Before the treatment I was lost, uneasy and sad all the time. Overall, I feel amazing.
My family and I have been clients of Jeane's for over 7 years. Her healing touch and oil therapy has helped us with everything from sprained ankles to the latest flu and even depression. Jeane is the only person I know whom I can honestly say is a genuine HEALER. She is gifted beyond words. Medical school can teach HOW to heal, but only a few special people like Jeane blend those cures with the most important ingredient: positive empathy. It is always an honor for me to work with Jeane, either as a patient or business partner.
This place was amazing! The staff was so nice! I called and asked several questions before scheduling my appointment. They took the time to answer each one. If you are trying to get pregnant please give them a call. I'm 35 years old and going through my second round of IVF. I wanted to incorporate acupuncture in hopes of a better outcome. Dr. Tynes was wonderful. She took the time to listen, ask questions, and explain what my treatment plan would look like in order to increase my chances of getting pregnant. The atmosphere of the office was so relaxing and inviting. They offered me alkaline water and an assortment of organic teas. During my treatment I was offered aromatherapy and fertility guided imagery music. I've never experienced anything like this before. I will definitely stick to my treatment plan. I feel so optimistic about getting pregnant. Oh, and the price was unbeatable for all that you receive.
Joanne's touch went directly to where the disruption of flow in my joints was, I began refreshed, corrected, and at one with my body.
I have gone through my share of therapists throughout the years, i found "A New Perspective" out of nowhere and because of my past experiences with other therapists; some therapists feel uncomfortable with certain diagnosis or specific struggles, i was leery but almost instantly, that was gone. Being in the "world of therapy" you pick up on a lot. The therapists that are" book knowledge" only, rarely work out; not everything can be taught in a book, there is so much beyond that. My therapist here is real and that goes further than a book can ever teach you. She has been and is still so committed to me and this journey we began; never wavering a bit, even in the really hard times i go through, in trying to live a better life. You can see in her eyes the compassion, dedication, and commitment; that is rare. This may be her job but its also her passion and that shines so brightly, even in my darkness. I look forward to our appointments, she is really flexible with scheduling and ready to work the moment you walk in the room. She remembers names or events, however small, so i know she is really listening; not just with her ears but with her heart. This is a phenomenal place, with amazing people and i am so grateful to have stumbled in.

I offer live therapeutic music played by me on my Native American flute as well as alto silver flute. I am a cert. music practitioner, educator and cert. chromotherapist (unique form of color therapy). I combine live flute music played by me, with the addition of carefully selected, illuminated color. A therapeutic color gel is supported by a safe L.E.D. lamp, which is bathed on the client in a private session. The benefits are many and varied. Stress-related health imbalances, like insomnia, depression, ADD, sensory imbalances, menopause, PMS, and pain can be alleviated for various health imbalances based on stress. This is "Music as wellness." For youth groups, I offer recreational music making using drums, flute and of course laughter exercises. There, I emphasize the rhythms of courage, character building, integrity and self-control. This is educational in that I use phonics, counting, drum sounds and word rhythms to remember the beats. The heartbeat is emphasized for grounding and relaxation, helping the brain waves to balance. I use wellness exercises like brain gym to help stimulate and balance both sides of the brain. We provide happy hour without a hangover.

First and foremost, I work to create a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empowerment, and authenticity. If those variables are not present, how can we feel safe to change? I am trained in advanced counseling skills and techniques that are shown in research to be fast and effective at creating change on the brain level. My practice does not use a cookie cutter approach. Each client is evaluated on their unique needs, preferences for treatment, and communication and relational style. I use only evidence based practices and strive to create fast and lasting change. My job is to put myself out of a job! I am an Iraq veteran and specialize in trauma, anxiety, chronic health concerns, and relationship counseling. Healing the body comes first than healing the mind. I'm a certified clinical and transpersonal hypnotherapist, and I have 24 years of experience as licensed massage therapist. I believe in balancing the mind and body by opening energy pathways through massage and removing emotional blocks through Reiki, breath work and hypnosis.
Do worry and fear prevent you from living your life the way you want? Are you always imagining the worst-case scenario? Are you afraid to try new things, or go to new places? Have you been feeling "stuck" in old, and upsetting memories that won't leave you alone? If so, you're not alone. You're one of the millions of Americans struggling with anxiety. Treating trauma-related issues and anxiety is my specialty. I can help you to work through the trauma and fear, so that you can set free the constant worrying, achieve peace of mind and relax. Events that happen to in our lives don't cause us to feel badly; it is the way our bodies and minds respond to those events that lead us to feel badly. The good news about that is that we can work to change the way your body and mind respond to events, thus improving the way you feel. I see it as my job to utilize all the tools at my disposal to guide you adjust your mind, get you feeling better as quickly as possible, and release tension from your body. As a registered yoga teacher, licensed mental health counselor, trained in yoga therapy, and certified in clinical hypnosis for trauma resolution, my approach to treatment is holistic. I have learned that you will achieve much greater positive results when we engage both your body and your mind in therapy. My unique background enables me to use a variety of strategies including cognitive therapy, mindfulness, deep breathing, gentle yoga, hypnosis, and visualization; all of which help you to release old trauma and anxiety, and get back to living the life you want. I also have found these techniques to be particularly helpful in dealing with addiction, body image issues, chronic pain, depression, postpartum depression, and stress. I offer psychotherapy and counseling services, and private yoga sessions, and if you are interested, our work together may be a combination of the two. Although I usually find that gentle yoga as a component to treatment is very valuable, and even more so when combined with other therapeutic techniques, I leave that up to your comfort level. Private yoga sessions are also wonderful for chronic stiffness in the body, stress relief, or as part of your recovery from an injury (once you have finished physical therapy). I would love to help you on your course to a more fulfilling life, peaceful mind, and relaxed body. The relationship between your treatment provider and you is of utmost importance; thus, I am happy to give you a free 30-minute consultation, either in my office or by phone, to guide you determine whether I am the right therapist for you. To take advantage of this free consultation, call me today (or click on "contact me"). It is verified by Psychology today. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express is accepted.
