I have been using Masco for about ten years or so. They are absolutely top notch. On one of their visits they were out to repair my stovetop. Before the technician left, he looked at my new side by side and told me he wanted to check something. He checked the manufacturer's label and then informed me that there was a recall on the freezer side door. Even though I hadn't been having any trouble with it, he told me he could replace it while the recall was still in effect just to avoid having to pay for any future problems that might arise. He did this at no cost to me. And when the new door came, complete with a new ice dispenser, he told me to keep the old ice dispenser in the event I would ever need to replace it as they are fairly expensive. I have always been very impressed with this company, they're reliable, timely and fair.

Our Uline refrigerator stopped working and before making an appointment with Masco, we had a service technician from another company installing a new dryer for us and we asked them to take a look at it. He diagnosed the problem as a temperature control valve. We then placed the call to Masco. At the time of the service call to Masco we knew the problem with our Uline refrigerator and it was explained to the representative that it was a temperature control valve. When scheduling the appointment, the woman on the phone advised that this would be a part that the technician would have on his truck and if not, he could easily go back to the office/warehouse at no added charge and pick up the needed part. The woman handling the service call also advised us that the technicians would be able to remove moldings and casings around the uline refrigerator. This information was given in detail during the call. When the technician showed up at our home, he was not in a marked Masco Vehicle... rather he was in a personal car with a small case of tools when he showed up. This in itself seemed unprofessional. He looked at the unit and advised it was the temperature control valve... which we already knew. He stated he didn't have that part on him. He then called the office, who told him they did not have the part in stock and it needed to be ordered. At that point, he also advised he could not remove the molding to fix the refrigerator, that we needed to call someone else for that. This was the opposite of what we had been told on the phone while scheduling the service call. He then proceeded to inform us that he had to charge a service call in the amount of $98.00. The tech stated since he did not have the part and the office did not have the part, he would have to charge a 2nd service call fee when the part came in. I advised I would contact his office and discuss it with management. I contacted the office at 12:41 PM and asked for a manager. The manager that was on the phone gave her name as Sarah. She stated she is the office manager. Sarah was extremely rude and continued to interrupt me as I was explaining what happened. She definitely does not have customer service skills and should not be interacting with consumers. She continued to cut me off multiple times, stating I was not correct and that this is normal procedure to charge a fee to diagnose something that was already previously diagnosed. I would highly suggest reading the reviews prior to engaging in business with Masco Appliance and Air Inc. They are a very dishonest company and I will never utilize their services again.
