American International Karate Institute

Introduction: We teach and train students of all ages in Martial Arts 7 days a week. Founded in 1980 in Plantation, Florida by Shihan Robert Mason, the American International Karate Institute, a.k.a. the University Karate Center, was established to further the personal growth and development of students of all ages. The MuDoKai curriculum that we teach uses the Martial Arts as the medium for practice. Utilizing vigorous training for physical development of Martial Arts skills, we train our bodies. By training with correct breathing techniques, we develop and achieve emotional balance. Through the use of visualization and perceptual awareness, we acquire and practice mental clarity and self-control. This training, when practiced consistently, leads to the accomplishment of self-mastery, the goal of our Martial Arts.
