I had the pleasure of having Cliff as primarily two things in my music life: my bass guitar teacher, and my band teacher. As my bass teacher, he taught me so much about the craft. I already knew how to play guitar, so the lesson consisted mainly of the intricacies of the bass and what made it unique---learning how to play the bass as a bass. He helped me with various genres of music, ranging from all forms of rock, to jazz, to classical, you name it. This was a private one on one lesson, in which Cliff and I developed a close bond of friendship and he became more than just a teacher, but also a friend. He was always punctual, and always passionate about the craft. I can't quantify how valuable his lessons were. Then as a band mentor and director, he taught me about the importance of playing with others---of being able to play to a metronome, of being able to follow a leader as well as eventually even become my own leader. He taught me about volume mixing, equalizing, etc. in order to have a solid sound mix for the band, so that every instrument could be heard at the appropriate and pleasing levels. We also got into recording, where I learned about music from the production side as well. The tools he taught me both in the private lesson and in the band setting allowed me to be able to form and lead my own band and recording company. I can't say enough great things about Cliff, because without him, I wouldn't be the musician I am today. And I would be devoid of the great friend that he became to me.

Cliff was my guitar teacher for 5-6 years, when I was about 12-18 years old. I had other music teachers (piano for 10+ years), but Cliff is hands-down the one who awakened my love for music. He helped me understand music in a way that I never had before,helped me get excited about music theory, challenged and inspired me to play new genres in various groups, and gave me a taste of "real musician life" as a part of Rokafonik Philharmonik. I still look back at my years of playing guitar under Cliff's guidance as a huge influence on who I have become today -- I majored in music performance and education, and although I chose a different profession than that of a musician, I treasure what I have learned and my experiences with Cliff as my music teacher.

Cliff's unparalleled enthusiasm for life and music shines through in his playing and teaching style. He shows a strong adeptness in many different styles and on multiple instruments. He's reliable, experienced, professional, and a great guy all around. I've found it to be a great pleasure learning under Cliff for the years that I had and I would strongly recommend him as a teacher and a performer.

first of all, i've known him forever and as a child subconsciously led me to good (rock) music. he's an all around great musician and has taught me a little bit of everything from keys to bass to vocals to songwriting to band pre-production during our hour long private lessons. he taught me a certain level of music knowledge that only people who have lived through it would be wise enough to tell and definitely helped me put my best foot forward as a teacher, mentor and friend.

Cliff was my piano teacher from age 9-16 and was a phenomenal one. Cliff continuously pushed me to be greater and taught me in a fun learning environment. Cliff was completely engaged in my development and put forth the extra effort to make sure I understood concepts.
