I read all the positive reviews here about T Small with a grain of salt: having had a really horrible experience with my previous contractor and a whole bunch of unreliable unprofessional lying and stealing scamming subcontractors, I was thinking people like Toney don't exist in this town. And when I started working with Toney, I still was thinking that something would go wrong at some point (positive thinking, I know!) but Toney was the person who changed my perception of the world of contractors! There is still hope in the world (crossed) South Florida, and it's name is T Small Construction. Toney was there every step of the way: professional, reliable and resourceful; kind and funny, responsible and supportive. I would rather attribute the latter to his personality rather than professionalism but it helped a ton on the way. He built a beautiful project for me and I'm super happy with the result (and I'm very difficult to please!) I would recommend T Small Construction to my best friend (or a neighbor - you know what happens if you make a shitty recommendation to a neighbor, right?):) with confidence. I wish more people like Toney existed in the world! P.S. By the way, the only negative comment here about T.Small is written by a person who wanted Toney to do something illegal. That was the actual reason Toney didn't take that job.
We called Rene, using Thumbtack, after having a nightmare of a Craigslist experience, trying to get our foyer and living room painted. Not only did he exceed our expectations in punctuality, presence, and quality, but Rene was also competitive in price. He went the extra mile, from patching and preparing previous drywall damage, to touching up the trim for a cleaner look. Since we were active in the house throughout the day, we would often ask random questions or strike up conversation. Rene is really personable and relatable. It's obvious that Rene takes a lot of pride in his work, and he made it clear that we should point out anything that required touching up while he was there. He even suggested that, because of the lighting, we might notice some places that needed touching up once the sun came back out. He assured us that, since we weren't a far drive, he'd come back one time to fix anything - free of charge. We didn't need to, though, as we didn't find any spots in the new light. On the way out the door, Rene spotted leaves bunched up in my gutter, and asked if we wanted him to set his ladder up and pull them out. We refused to let him spend any more time with us, because his kids were waiting on him for a family trip to see Christmas lights. We'll be happy to call Rene for future needs as well as recommend him to friends that need painting services. We received true, A+ service, and we're happy that we now, "know a guy."
These guys are always amazing. Clean, courteous and they always organize the truck to fit the maximum debris I have use their service almost a dozen times already on my construction projects they're always on time and always deliver
Mohammed and his team were hired to do a interior build out for my restaurant. He was able to perform his work after hours so my business doesn’t get interrupted. All the moving parts of the project were managed on time and professionally. Rapid Construction managed the hiring of all the subcontractors, plumber, electirican and AC guy so all I had to do was write the check. I had no problems or delays during the process other than the city that took too long to issue the permits. I’m looking toward to hiring them again for my next location.
Jose remodeled a 1200 sq ft condo to include kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, I could not be more pleased with the outcome. We all know what it takes in Miami between the cities requirements and hassle to do anything in a condominium building. Jose was the best. My apartments is absolutely gorgeous. We were very concerned about workmanship and Jose followed thru. If it was not completed to his satisfaction by the subcontractor he had it changed. He addressed design changes thru the framing phase to us that he thought we would want or need which was great. Jose also had contacts with the Cabinets and tile suppliers that were great. I live in NY so I could not be there during the construction so I had to depend on Jose. He is Honest, Contentious, Dependable. These are values that you do not find in the Construction industry in Miami. I have had previous projects and they were nightmares! I would definitely hire Innersense for any future projects.
We could not be happier with the professionalism, price, and finished product that Rob Soto and his team created in our kitchen. He was responsible for the following components, - managing relationships with all subcontractors - demolishing the entire kitchen - placing new baseboards in the entire living space - placing down new tile floors in the kitchen - rerouting and installing new plumbing - building cabinetry - rewiring and installing new ceiling lighting - installing inside-and-underneath cabinet lighting - painting ceiling, walls - installing all appliances - placing back splash - adding any fixtures (like door handles) - any and all touch-ups ("DETAILS" - says Rob) We hired him not only based on his fair price, but his passion. You cannot work with a man who personally cares more about his product and his performance than he does. I met with many other contractors, and no one impressed me as much as Rob did. He works on his own schedule, however that is because he keeps himself very busy. Giving Rob the benefit of the doubt will never steer you wrong. He has amazing follow-through, attention to detail, and an eye for design. The type of work he does requires patience, and especially when you live in a small space like we do (i.e. Manhattan). I cannot recommend him enough. I am so happy with his work that we are going to hire him again when we do our bathroom next year. I can only hope he has the time and space or else I will have to settle for someone else!
It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation for Brisk Brothers Construction!! While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Brisk Brothers service as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give this crew top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision. 2. Quality of work crews. workmen whom were utilized were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of my property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy, and I felt comfortable with allowing them access inside our home. 3. Project management and coordination. Brisk brothers prior experience working in construction really paid off. They were knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and were able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. they remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. Their excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Their familiarity with building codes facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. I would recommend Brisk Brothers for any one to use. Next project we have I will be calling him back.
The GC Luis Alvarez is a knowledgeable and experienced builder. Above all, he is conscientious and honest. I live in Miami Beach, and his ability to handle all permitting quickly and efficiently was a bonus. If mistakes were made by the subcontractors, he corrected the mistakes. I would give him 4.5 stars but there's no ability to rate it that way. I recommend using Conquer Builders.
I couldn't speak more highly of this company. they just completed a home renovation project for me, as a subcontractor (Drywall & Paint). The client continues to rave about their work and craftman-ship. Edy was also very professional to deal with at all times. Will def be using them again!
Remolding is overwhelming and I had no idea how necessary it was to hire a designer until I started working with Lauren and her team. Through thoughtful planning, Lauren put everything together for us. All within our budget and amidst our hectic work schedules. My husband and I are busy professionals so it was important to have someone we could trust to plan and direct the work. Every detail was planned out and managed. They organized and packed up all of our furniture necessary to move out for the renovation. I did not know moving could be so organized! Lauren supervises every aspect and really keeps the contractors and subcontractors motivated and hard at work. She handled the purchasing of our new furniture, plumbing fixtures, appliances, light fixtures, cabinets, everything. They set up the deliveries and perfectly staged each room according to the plans we made. We now have a gorgeous home thanks to Lauren. I am highly recommending this company!
Overall the quality of work that Bob did himself was excellent. We didn't always feel as if we were a priority to the other jobs he had going on and the time it took to get the work done was a little longer than we expected. We had some issues with subcontractors he used. The granite installer measured wrong and didn't listen to what we wanted so that was delayed the project and the tile installer was a no show and we had to find someone on our own due to the timeline that we wanted to keep. However Bob did follow through and the work is completed and we are very pleased and have asked him to do a few other things for us that are needed.
