FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees are based on the complexity of your tax filing(s). We keep our expenses low so that we can pass along those savings to you. When compared to medium to large sized public CPA firms, our fees are lower, and our communication is better. Sometimes there are accounting services, payroll tax services, IRS correspondence, etc. that are necessary to complete your tax filings correctly. We will discuss your entire situation and provide a no-obligation quote before we start working. We will also provide various options for ongoing services that may be monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. We believe that analyzing your tax situation is something we should do more than once a year. There are some situations where a clients income is steady year-round-we still suggest assessing your tax situation more frequently than once a year, as there are various changes to the tax code, that could be critical to your tax planning. (Increases to tax credits, PPP Loan forgiveness, expiration of deductions, etc.)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Normally it starts with your last tax filing. If you are looking to have someone prepare your tax return(s) for a specific year or years, we will need a copy of your last filed tax return. If you don’t have a copy, no worries-we can (given your consent) request a copy directly from the IRS. *Its vital to know what ongoing filing requirements you have, and which you would like us to assist with: -business income tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.) -business sales tax returns (DR-15) -business payroll tax returns (941, 940, W2, etc.) -individual income tax returns (1040) *If you are unsure-no worries, we can discuss these in great detail with you. Once we know what our assignments are and have agreed to the fees, we get started and provide you with a turnaround time.
