Introduction: My work stands out because I have a lot of experience teaching yoga to both adults and children. Helping individuals of all levels and ages find their breath and understand the importance of being in the moment. Also to assist my students in finding safe ways to practice yoga postures; finding postures that help them overcome fear, anxiety, lack of confidence and focus, etc.

I can attest to the fact that yoga and mindfulness practice is a passion for Ann. She is not only eager to learn and to share but she lives loving kindness in her life as a mother and a teacher. She has lead large groups of teachers and administrators in mindfulness and given weekly yoga classes at our school. She is able to reach all levels of yogis and her gentle accepting approach makes her classes accessible and welcoming for all.

Ann is a wonderful yoga teacher, and works so well with children, which can be a challenge. Her patient and thoughtful instructions make the class enjoyable, and of course the relaxing head massage is always a favorite! I highly recommend her .

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I absolutely take part in continuing education. Recently, I attended the Yoga in the Schools Symposium at Kripalu in Lenox, Ma. I also attended the Mindfulness in Education Conference in D.C., which was held at American University. AT conferences like these I am able to network with professionals in the field. We share experiences and ideas and discuss current research. This summer, I am taking a mediation class through The Mindfulness Method, which is locally based in Fort Lauderdale. In addition, I read monthly journal articles and continue to reach out to people internationally to remain current on research regarding yoga and meditation and specifically how it affects the learning process.
