As Founder of Family to Family, a local charity (giving people's "extra stuff" to those in need) Brenda's voice has been istrumental to our growth and outreach. While writing for the Collier Citizen she often helped promote our cause through the press. Her most effective article, "Closet Reaches out to Needy Kids" (8/28/09) helped get the word out and boosted our donations significantly. Family to Family greatly depends on donations to help Foster Care and other special needs families in our community. Her help has been invaluable to us. Brenda, with her follow-through and commitment orchestrated our local "Prom Aide" program coordinating donors, drop-off sites, schools, media, press releases, etc. Thanks to her communication skills the word spread and for the second year over 200 students in need were furnished with an incredible selection of FREE prom-wear, many garments still with tags. What a huge gift for so many students and their struggling families. (She did this on her own time!!!)
