Just getting started. While Julio was there measuring, I was in the kitchen getting cleaning supplies out when my cabinet came off its hinges. Julio fixed it for me right away. So far, so good.

I read all the reviews for this company and of the 3 choices thumbtack sent me, selected this one. I'm usually a word-of-mouth client, so hesitant to contract through thumbtack. Frank visited our home to review the job with no strings attached. His manner was professional and his skill and knowledge obvious. The revised thumbtack quote was too high for our budget, so Frank offered to return for a second visit to take out extras from a basic painting job (i.e. exclude painting of chair rail, frames, doors & adding crown moulding). His revised quote allowed for 5 different colors for 8 areas so we discussed mixing and matching. He was patient to work through this and offered advice, such as which of the 4 bedroom walls would have the accent color; and which color would be better below the chair rail in the main living areas and which above it. We appreciated the time he spent to discuss the painting plan. It was a bonus that wall repair was included in the quote. Frank completed the work in 4.5 days; to us that was record time. He worked diligently and expertly. He would advise us each afternoon of the spaces he would work on the next day; this allowed me to plan which part of the home to occupy. He showed up at a similar early time each morning soon after sunrise and left before dusk each day. This schedule worked out well for us. His guarantee of beautiful paint, smooth finish, two coats, all rang true. We were so pleased that by the 4th paint day we contracted with Frank to lay the special order hardwood flooring which arrived during the painting job on day 3. So he adjusted his schedule to then work 4.5 additional days in a row to lay the flooring in the same rooms he had just completed painting. Again, he followed a careful plan for laying out the cork base, then laying out the wood pieces, matching up color differences, separating out scratched pieces to cut for small spaces so the scratched areas became scrap, before starting the actual laying. He set up two outdoor sawing stations on each end of the home. We took pictures of both jobs as they were being completed, work in progress, and he did not mind any interruption. Along the way over these 9 days he assisted with small tasks such as moving the refrigerator for cleaning behind, discussing the type of kitchen cabinet knobs to install, and took down two track lights and one bathroom light at our request to apply the ceiling paint under those fixtures. He removed about 70 outlet covers of all types: phone, plug, switches, data ports, to paint behind, but unfortunately for us, left the task of replacing the new ones we purchased to move on to the flooring. We are so pleased with the quality of the workmanship and his professional manner that we are now asking for a quote for exterior painting. This was our first experience contracting through an electronic gateway; it worked out very well for us. We will recommend Frank to anyone who is in the market. Frank is welcome to attach photos of the finished project.

The move in/out cleaning was done professionally, efficiently and well. The house with a live-in pet had been closed for two weeks and it required cleaning of floors, kitchen including refrigerator, kitchen and bathroom. They worked around furniture and brought their own equipment and chemicals. Very trustworthy, I hired them from Miami and was unable to be at the house during the cleaning. I received pictures of the completed work. They charged the previously agreed on quote, showed up on time, locked the house upon completion. I am extremely happy with their service and will definitely hire again.

Am very pleased with the work this company did in replacing baseboards inside and painting them and sanding, caulking and painting the trim in the front of my home. They arrived at the time we agreed upon (which is unheard of when dealing with contractors in my experience) and worked tirelessly. Only stopped once to eat a quick lunch and back to work. No smoking or phone breaks. Very respectful, polite and honest. I would definitely use them again.

I had doors, trim and base boards painted throughout my home. The painters showed up on time, moved furniture and started working. Excellent job and finished it all by day's end. I highly recommend King of Kings Painting.

Calin has done quite a bit of work for me personally, also for the place that I work and where I go to Church. My first experience with Calin was at work. I knew that he was a woodworker but I really was not prepared for the type of woodworking that he does. I found out on a project that I had him to do for my employer. We had a waiting room that was a train wreck. We had had someone else do the room and it was so bad that I asked him to repair it. He asked me exactly what I wanted and I told him to do whatever he thought it needed. It was an amazing transformation. His custom work is incredible, to say the least. My next opportunity to use Calin was when our church was building a new facility. I was the building committee chairman; when the building committee got together and discussed the trim I asked them to meet me in our waiting room. They wondered at this request until they sat in this room. They were in shock. I told them that I felt that we should just let Calin do whatever he thinks should be done. The result was so incredible that everyone who enters the sanctuary is in total shock. You would have to see it to believe it. He also did the fellowship hall and kitchen. Calin did all the kitchen cabinets and the island where we serve potluck meals. It is probably the most beautiful church in North Florida. We have officials come from our church headquarters that say it is the most beautiful church they have ever visited. Since then I have used Calin on many of my home projects with wonderful results. Am I a happy customer? You bet I am! Will I use him again? Absolutely I will.

To whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Keith Scott. Keith was the general contractor for a remodeling project on the exterior of my house in the fall of 2014. I had no prior relationship with Keith, who was recommended by an architect friend of mine. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacement (22 windows and 3 patio doors), siding replacement (approximately 4000 sq. ft.), replacement of 2 decks along with installation of stainless steel cable railing, and roof replacement (approximately 2400 sq. ft.) for a three level house built in 1978. The project took 8 weeks and involved 4 work crews (carpenters, siding, painters, roofing) plus electrician and structural engineer, at a budget of just over $100,000. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Keith’s services as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Keith top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Keith used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision. 2. Quality of work crews. Other than one relatively minor exception, which Keith promptly addressed once I brought it to his attention, the workmen whom Keith utilized were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of the homeowner’s property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy, and my wife and I felt comfortable with allowing them access inside our home. 3. Project management and coordination. Keith’s prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets, which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Keith’s familiarity with building codes and dealing with city hall also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. Keith Scott letter of recommendation Page 2 of 3 4. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Keith’s commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Keith either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it without charging me extra, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making process that culminated in a change order which was fair. In another situation in which I was not satisfied with the aesthetics of nail holes on the siding battens even though the latter had been installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, Keith agreed with me and arranged to have the nail holes filled and battens painted - a job which involved many additional hours - without passing the expense on to me. 5. Effective communication. Keith kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 2-3 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the 2-month project. His communication with the work crews was just as effective. 6. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., water damage behind a wall, structural problems with the existing cantilevered joists for an upper deck), Keith worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me. He utilized resources effectively (e.g., enlisting the services of a structural engineer in a limited fashion) and creatively (e.g., identifying a special type of edge vent for my roof that had minimal overhang), and directed the work crew to make changes necessary for implementing the solution. 7. Responsiveness to homeowner’s needs and concerns. Keith’s commitment to homeowner satisfaction was evident in his actions. On the few occasions when I brought a request or concern to his attention (e.g., when I wanted the roofing done before all of the exterior painting was completed), he listened attentively, and always took appropriate action that demonstrated responsiveness to my needs or concerns. When the painting crew fell behind of schedule, Keith showed up on a Saturday and helped with the exterior painting. His service orientation is truly described by the motto: “The homeowner’s needs come first.” 8. Truth in advertising. In his proposal, Keith gave a clear breakdown of costs for each facet of the project. His contract was just as detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. Same with the change orders. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon, and there were no hidden costs, extra expenses or unpleasant surprises. As a homeowner and customer, I felt Keith delivered exactly what he had promised, at the agreed upon price. 9. Value. I had solicited three bids for my remodeling project. Although Keith’s bid was not the lowest, I am absolutely convinced that he delivered the best value (in terms of the work done) for the price. Keith Scott letter of recommendation Page 3 of 3 10. Sensitivity to worksite appearance and neighbor relations. Our project required a huge dumpster and a portable toilet (for the work crew), and there was very limited parking. Keith’s placement of the dumpster, portable toilet, and construction materials was based not solely on function and convenience, but showed a consideration for the aesthetics of the worksite. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors. In the two months during this project, there was not one single neighbor complaint! Instead, three different neighbors passed on compliments about the work crews (e.g., “those guys really work hard”). In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Keith was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a general contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Keith is indeed a rare find. I have been a homeowner for over 30 years, and I took this unprecedented step of writing an unsolicited letter of recommendation for Keith because I believe that exceptional work should be recognized. I would not hesitate to hire Keith again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I recommend Keith Scott to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations. If you have any questions about my experience with Keith, please feel free to call me. Thomas Mitchel A very satisfied homeowner
