The most common types of jobs we perform as Flooring Professionals of lately are hard surface flooring. In recent years there has been a shift from carpets and vinyl to more durable and long lasting surfaces such as hard woods and tile. In most new construction homes plans are calling for hard surfaces in all the living space including kitchens and bath rooms and carpet only in the bedrooms. The reasons for this are the increased maintainability of hard surfaces in high traffic areas also the reduction of allergens that can collect in carpet fibers. But still people do prefer the warmth and comfort of carpet in their bedrooms. There are however several products such as luxury vinyls, laminates and floating solid wood floors that feature an underlayment providing a more comfortable feel as well as a good durable hard surface.
