We worked with Rich for our annual family photoshoot and had an amazing experience! As I started the search for a photographer, I was focused on three specific elements - 1) availability (we only had Fri, Nov 26 available as my brother flew back to LA on Sat), 2) ability to capture different skin tones (our family has a variety of complexions and I wanted to ensure everyone looked good in the photos) and 3) location (we prefer outdoor settings for our photos). Rich went above and beyond across the board. He was super communicative during the entire process - we were able to confirm the day/time for our shoot within a day and we talked on the phone multiple times to ensure we were aligned on priorities. He scouted out the location (Chatfield Reservoir) ahead of time to ensure we had nice options with water, mountains and landscape backgrounds. On the day of the shoot, the sunlight was blinding and we were contending with a fussy toddler so he extended our time together to ensure we’d have balanced options. I was also impressed with Rich’s diligence during the editing process. He sent sneak peek photos to whet our appetite as he edited and combined multiple pictures to ensure we had stunning options (no easy feat when you’re shooting with small kids). We were super pleased with the final pictures and ended up getting many of them framed. We’re so grateful to Rich for capturing our family and will cherish these beautiful pictures!

Words cannot express how thankful my fiancé and I feel about Rich. He is very professional, kind, prompt, and a hard worker. In the amount of time we spent with him, he always valued our ideas and opinions without disregarding any details. In fact, he added great suggestions and memorable value to our now permanent photos. During our engagement, I had friends help me surprise my now fiancé, and in the planning time, Rich felt like a friend I have known for a very long time. He acknowledged every one of our friends and allowed everyone to be themselves without any negativity or unpleasant looks. His photo skills are SUPERB!!!! Every friend and family member who we have been able to share some pictures with have all been giving nonstop compliments on how beautiful the photos look, especially considering how the day of the proposal was (extremely cloudy and rainy). Rich managed not only to capture the moment(s) during this special day, but also able to seize it and forever have it inscribed in our memories with these wonderful photos. Rich was absolutely amazing to work with !!! My fiance and I were going to be in town and wanted to have our engagement photos taken on the beach in Miami. I found Rich via thumbtack and he sent me a quote immediately. He was always very quick and prompt with his emails to me. Even after the shoot he kept in contact and made sure we loved everything. Rich showed up for the shoot early even when we did a sunrise session ! Rich did not rush the process and went with the flow , we felt so comfortable with him. He is so talented and knew exactly how to position us to get the shots with beautiful light and scenery. Great pricing and amazing talent ! We couldn't be happier with the pictures. Richard was really cooperative with my vision for my photos, and very talented in photography. He recommended a great place to take photos. He knew about lighting and that helped make for great photos! He was very easy to take photos with, calm and helpful with ideas of how to stand and sit, but still look natural. Overall I was very happy with the outcome of his work, and I would recommend him for your engagement, or personal photography needs.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on the session details. Please call with any questions you may have.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am strong with communication. Once we agree on a budget, place and time I stay in touch with the client before the session. This includes recommendation of attire and discussion of weather (if it is an outdoor session). I call the day before to confirm and discuss any last minute details. During the session, I am able to make the person comfortable pretty fast as I create a fun atmosphere and encourage playfulness. I believe my portfolio shows that.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took private lessons from an established professional photographer. She said I learned in 3 months what normally takes an average person 2 years. I believe having over 30 years of graphic design and printing experience, I already had the fundamentals established.
