Very professional. He came prepared to tackle our project for us. He knew what worked best and because of that he was able to complete our project quickly. We will definitely be using him again as well as recommending him to family & friends that needs work done around the house.Sep 3, 2019Verified

During the Hurricane prep he showed up as he promised, unfortunately the ladders was not tall enough so he couldn’t install the shutters however next time I need something to fix in my house I will not hesitate to contact him.Sep 1, 2019Verified
Nice kid very inexperienced and not organized. Sorry to say thisSep 2, 2019VerifiedWilkins Contracting's reply
I'm sorry you feel as if my experience was lacking and organization wasn't on point, but I tried my best on your job, especially given the fact that I was mislead about it completely. If you had your hurricane shutters together and had all the correct fasteners, you would've seen a quick and thorough installation job. However, that wasn't the case. I had to make multiple trips to try and find materials you said were already on site. I wish you well in your future Thumbtack ventures. Nate
It was a pleasure to have Nate in our home. He showed up on time was personable and did a terrific job. I would recommend Nate gladly.Sep 10, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I try to give a set price based on what the scope of work is, but I'm always willing to negotiate. Payment plans, barter, etc.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to set a date and time to meet at the project. We can look over everything together, as I explain what I'm looking at/for. I'll then process a bid, and I will go over that bid thoroughly with the customer. I don't want anyone feeling lost or overwhelmed, especially when it's something I could've explained.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Associate degree in Construction Management from Austin Community College. 3 years management, Superintendent with a multi family construction company. 7 years running my own construction business.
