If you are looking for a caterer for any reason, stop your search here. Chef Brian is the greatest to work with! Dade County Food Group catered my 100 person wedding.... And HAMD MADE GNOCCHI for everyone. I believe Chef Carlos was up for many hours the night before rolling out the tiny gnocchi for my guests- now that's service! Cocktail hour was such a hit that my guests are still craving the chicken and waffles and bacon wrapped, goat cheese stuffed dates! (Ps- Please let Brian add bacon to your menu! They are bacon magicians). I had such a wonderful experience working with Brian and his entire team from the private food tasting, to his help with referrals, to my wedding day. Brian's staff was professional, looked great, was earlier than on time and even had everything cleaned and organized before they left. Now for Brian's wait staff and bartenders- my guests are STILL talking about the level or service they got! Usually people gush over the flowers, the food, or (blush) the bride! But my guests were most impressed with how wonderfully the staff served the food, tended the bar, cleaned up plates, and glasses never went empty! It started pouring after our cocktail hour, so Brian's staff physically moved one of the bars and all the alcohol/ drinks under the tent and kept pouring the bubbly. If there was an issue, I never knew about it. That's what you want on your wedding day- a caterer who serves amazing food and provides your guests with an amazing experience all while keeping you stress free! Thank you Brian, Carlos and team! You guys are my caterers for life !

We hired David for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary party with 80 guests attending. David was punctual and professional since day one. He kept in constant touch with us till the day of the event. When we had our initial meeting David came ready with ideas and suggestions for the event. On the day of the event, David and his team were on time,happy to be there and just worked smoothly together. The food was excellent, all the guests enjoyed the appetizers and dinner. David even printed menus for the event! We highly recommend David and his team for any catering event you may need, you won't be disappointed.

Damaris was incredible. Not only as an officiant to our ceremony, but also by helping organize our bridal party, keep our bride at ease and recommend placement of the procession. Barb was AWESOME! From beginning to end she was so easy to communicate and work with. I hired her for our wedding rehearsal which had about 40 people. She went above and beyond! She was professional, attentive, and even helped us clean up throughout the night. We had several people come up to us and say how awesome she was. I am so thankful I found Dale to do my flowers for my wedding at the Delray Sands Resort on June 24th. The flowers turned out better than I could have imagined. People were so impressed with the centerpieces, and the bridesmaid and bridal bouquets were showstoppers! Dale was very patient with my requests, and he made my vision come to life. We decided to get married in a matter of 1 month. We searched several places for venues and the prices were extremely exorbitant for a wedding of 30 people. So we decided to reduced the amount of people invited to our wedding. We were able to have a private, cozy, simple and elegant wedding at my parents house. It was our best decision we have made for a very affordable price. Yrene the manager was exceptional and very professional. We were able to get married as planned on 6/22/18. Thank you for making our dreams come true! My bouquet, table center pieces, table set up, and the food were the best we’ve seen or tasted compared to other wedding celebrations. I highly recommend Actualite Event and Design because Planning a wedding can be stressful and an overwhelming task for anyone, a lot of things needs to be done, right from calling your wedding photographer to the last ceremony of the wedding, everything is very important. You can get very exhausted if things aren’t done in a systematic way and in a proper order. Words can’t even begin to describe my appreciation towards Mariane and all she did. I had a dream wedding and specific things I wanted and Mariane took my vision and not only turned it into reality but she made it better than what I could have ever imagined. Our wedding was flawless. People could not stop talking about how amazing it was and saying how it was the best wedding they ever been to and like a fairytale. This would not have been possible without Mariane. She went above and beyond. Anything I needed she was always there to help me make decisions and implement them. And she is truly a one of a kind person who has become a great friend through this process. I beyond recommend Mariane....as in if you choose to hire a wedding planner you should not pick anybody else!!

Excellent service and food. We were very pleased and our guests were pleased. Nobody's perfect but they were close to perfect. The price was extremely reasonable. Chef Mer volunteered to come by our house in the days before our wedding to pick up supplies (cups, plates, etc) that we would have otherwise had to bring ourselves - and he did it at no additional cost to us. He also volunteered to go to Restaurant Depo to pick up champagne flutes for us because we couldn't find them on our own. Again, he did this at no cost to us. He cut our cake and served our champagne. He's just a nice guy. You will not be disappointed. Thank you, Chef! :)

Miriam was the absolute best wedding planner! She took away all the stress of planning a wedding by listening to what we wanted and making my daughter dream come true. We experience the perfect wedding day all because of her. Every problem that there was, she somehow manage to work around it and handled the unexpected bumps in the road with calm and grace. She is very professional, organized and experienced and follows through with her promises. The flow of the event went smoothly and everyone had a great time. Not to mention the beautiful job she did decorating the Sweet Table and the Venue with a Vintage Elegant décor. A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

  • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
  • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
  • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
  • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

  • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
  • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
  • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
  • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.   
  • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
  • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.
