FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 1984 my husband and I were married. We wrote our wedding ceremony together and took great satisfaction in crafting the words that would unite us. We had a somewhat small civil wedding, being married by a friend, Malcome Fromberg, who was the mayor of Miami Beach at the time. Hearing our words was a very emotional experience for me it meant so much more than half-listening to a ceremony said by rote, where all I would have to do is say I do at the proper time. Many of our friends remarked that the words of the ceremony were so moving so you. It wasnt long before someone asked us to help write their ceremony. And before I knew it, I was asked to officiate a wedding (In Florida a notary can officiate weddings). From that first time it has touched and changed and shaped my life. Ordained in the Universal Life Church and a priest in the Order of Melchizedek I have been officiating all kinds of weddings for over 20 years now. Everything from beach weddings to biker and ballroom weddings, commitment ceremonies and vow renewals. My gift is the ability to create a ceremony that is unique for each couple that fits their values, their individual identities and reflects who they are as a united couple facing the world together. If you want it in your wedding it belongs there! And I will work with you until YOU think it is perfect for you.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
For many of my wedding couples, I assist with writing their vows. I blend cultures and customs to create a ceremony that both sides of the family can be comfortable with. I provide spur of the moment wedding ceremonies in my office under my lovely wedding arch. I am happy to provide a lovely white silk rose bouquet and boutonniere for pictures. I file all documents to proper agencies. I am associated with WeddingStar, Koyal, Sandsational, Vistaprint and Amazon and can assist you in finding what you are dreaming of, from invitations or announcements to that cute cake topper that looks just like the two of you.
