Philanthropy is important to us. We desire to promote wellness for all! This is our way to make mental health services available to everyone and give back to our community! - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?After an initial intake assessment; we will collaborate together to develop a comprehensive treatment plan tailored specifically for you. As well as discuss which therapy style and services are right for you; and how often those services will be needed. We will encourage you to be an active participant in your treatment; keeping you more motivated and likely to be more successful.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bilingual, Licensed clinical psychologists with specializations in both forensic and pediatric psychology. Experience in the mental health field for over 25 years. Certified in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT); an evidenced base, cutting-edge, short-term therapy approach that has been proven to improve child behavior and enhance parent-child relationships with long-term results. Extensive training in the assessment of toddlers, children, adolescents and adults with various psychological conditions. Our doctors have experience in the completion of assessments for presurgical bariatric evaluations, immigration hardship evaluations, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, giftedness, emotional concerns, behavioral issues and Autism Spectrum Disorder. These assessments guide treatment, interventions and accommodations if needed. In addition to the above, Dr. Santana Sparber our clinical director has experience in the areas of trauma, behavioral disorders, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, phobias, and adjustment to life changes such as birth of a sibling, divorce, relocating and starting college. She has extensive experience in the area of bereavement. She developed the bereavement program for Nicklaus Children Hospital. As well as completing her doctoral dissertation on the topic of familial bereavement. Dr. Santana Sparber completed her pre doctoral internship at Miami Dade County Community Action (APA Accredited). And her post doctoral residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Mailman Center for Child Development division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (APA Accredited). Dr. Santana Sparber is a member of the American Psychological Association, Florida Psychological Association, and Dade County Psychological Association.
