I encountered Ed as I was preparing to attend Berklee college of music. It turns out Ed was the perfect teacher at the perfect time. Ed was able to teach me everything I needed not only to get in and survive at Berklee but to be ahead of the game when I got there. Ed was a fun combination of rock, jazz, blues and even a little classical with lots of real world experience. A real teacher not only imparts knowledge he also inspires Edward Stefanov was that kind of inspirational teacher.

I was a student of Mr. Stefanov's and I would just like to leave some comments about the excellence of not only his technical teaching skills, but also in his ability to instill in the student a love for music, and to never give up on it either as a player or as a listener. Then there was also his GREAT patience. To this very day I clearly remember his patience with me which was an enormous help to a less than bright student. There are people who teach, and then there are people like Ed who go WAY beyond just the technical aspect of it. If you want to learn the guitar, you will not find a better teacher.

I took lessons from Ed for about two years. I was a rank beginner, but he was very patient with me, probably because he saw that I had a genuine interest in the instrument. I learned a lot, I had fun and I would highly recommend him.

I took guitar lessons from Ed in the mid-70's when I was 15 yrs. old, when I first started learning. It was on those Saturday mornings that I was taught, I now realize, how to teach myself. Ed always provided an intimate and very laid back setting. One last thing, if you put in the time and effort, there's no telling what heights you can reach. Ed is the teacher for you!
