I have been taking guitar lessons on Skype with Remi for a few years now. His thoughtfulness and encouragement have an impact on my life beyond the study of guitar. And it is a truly awesome experience to work on learning an instrument with someone so knowledgeable, talented, and experienced that they keep you inspired even when you feel down or don't have as much time to dedicate to it as you would like. I have grown steadily through our lessons and my appreciation for the process of learning music has grown too. I particularly love Remi's sense of humor and hearing his beautiful interpretations of even the simple pieces I am learning to play.

I am 34 years old and I never had any musical inclinations, but I always wanted to learn how to the play guitar. Ten months ago I decided to start. After some research online I saw that Bob had really good reviews. I have to admit that I was afraid it was going to be a cookie cutter guitar lesson like you see on YouTube but I am glad that I was wrong. Not only did Bob designed the lesson to my taste of music but he always has a way to teach me stuff that was very related to my experience in life. He will always have good exercises that helped me with push through learning chords and songs. Bob is a masterful teacher and has the ability to listen and understand where I am in my learning curve, adjust his lessons to my skill level, and more importantly helped me a lot when I am frustrated and stuck. Bob helped me to overcome the inner critic that had held me back, by identifying and encouraging the musical ability in me. I am very grateful for that. If you want to learn music on a deep and intuitive level, Bob is the right choice.

I was unbelievably impressed with this company and its staff. They take their service very seriously and, after having a bad experience with more than one of the lesson companies in Jacksonville, I am 100% sure that I am staying with them. My piano teacher has taken me so far in just a few weeks! I'm so happy with the results!

About

Teaching Guitar, Ukuleke and Songwriting. Singer and multi-instumentalist for Private Functions, Weddings, Festivals and other venues. I'm a lifetime professional singer/songwriter/guitarist with formal guitar/vocal training background. I regularly perform in festivals, schools, local and national venues. I've taught in schools and privately for over 25 years, facilitating songwriting, guitar and music workshops with all ages as well as special needs kids. As a musician for your event I have a varied repertoire of popular songs, from Patsy Cline to Norah Jones, Frank Sinatra to Jason Mraz. I can learn any song, and have originals as well. I sing and play guitar, mandolin and ukulele and play most styles. As a music teacher I can integrate any topic into the learning environment through music. My goal is to inspire and empower students to embrace their unique musical voice and utilize that in a healthy, positive way. My specialty is accessing the appropriate personal approach for each student. As a guitar teacher, I assess your goals and needs--then taylor lessons to that. As a songwriting teacher, I have techniques to improve one's craft as well as help with editing, arrangements, and overall presentation of original works. I'm a lot of fun, very silly and laid back. I believe in a hands-on approach to playing--with more focus on learning kinetically than reading. I've recently added ukulele to my palate, and am excited to be offering UKE lessons now too! Thank you!
