I have used a number of trainers for other rescue doggies. Stacey is totally different. My current rescue doggie was very fearful and pretty skittish. Stacey came to my house and worked with us for about 3 hours and I was absolutely amazed at the progress in that short amount of time. He is more of a dog psychologist, rather than a typical trainer. He understands what the dog is afraid of and gets him to understand how to be calm and listen to what you are asking of him. By the time he was gone he was a different doggie altogether.
He learned to hear what I am saying to him and to realize that I am in command, not him. By the time he left he was walking with me and not running in front, stopping when I stopped. He was not running out of the house and staying when I told him to. He definitely now realizes I am the leader of the pack, not him.
