Highly recommend this home inspector. We used them for our home inspection on a new construction home and it was to our advantage. Inspector pointed out so many things that we would have never even known were defects.

I used AMVETPRO for a wind mitigation inspection of a residential property prior to closing so that I could obtain an insurance deduction. I'm very detail oriented and have a fair amount of experience in the home buying and renovation process, and I was very impressed with the attention to detail, the inspector's knowledge of all applicable regulations/code, the thorough nature of the inspection process, and accuracy/completeness of the report. Not only did it result in a significant discount on my homeowner's insurance, the inspector also pointed out several items that were overlooked during my recent home inspection and provided advice on how to approach the issues. Unlike a lot of other inspectors who seem to be interested in "finding" possible issues so they can then get you to hire their company to make repairs, AMVETPRO didn't have any ulterior motive and did not use the inspection process as a method to pressure me into paying for additional unnecessary jobs, a practice that is fairly common in the home maintenance industry. AMVETPRO's rates are very competitive, their fees are posted on the website, and I just noticed that I paid over twice that amount for my home inspection with one of their local competitors. Not only was the inspector (Chris Thomassy) very knowledgeable and professional, it was readily apparent to me that his previous experience as a military veteran (a former Navy pilot) carried over into his enthusiasm for the job, great customer service, exacting standards and integrity in ensuring that the job was completed to the highest level of standards. I wish I would have used AMVETPRO for my home inspection, and plan to consult with Chris if and when I'm ready to start planning any major home renovation jobs and improve the energy efficiency of this house. Bottom line, it's great to support a veteran, and get superior service for lower price at the same time!

Was contacted by Empire Mitigation and Restoration 5 minutes after I requested an inspection. From there project manager Austin Skinner met me and let me know the inspection would take 30 minutes where he would document all damage that was caused by the storm and review it with me. Once complete we reviewed all damage and he informed me close to 40 percent of my roofing system was damaged and that my Insurance would cover a new roof with me only responsible for my deductible. I signed a contingency agreement allowing empire to speak to my insurance on my behalf in regards to the claim. It took a total two weeks and I now have a newly installed roof as well as a new fence that they proved was damaged by the storm as well. I highly recommend this company if you prefer 100 percent quality work and less stress through this process. Thank you Empire and Austin for all of your help.
