I currently earn $16.00 an hour for transcription services and $18.00 an hour for doing summaries from some form of documentation review.

I am always taking online courses and have plans to take an online course in medical coding.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After 25 years of working in the medical/legal insurance area, I have realized how much I enjoy doing this type of work, being my own boss and having the ability to work at home to take care of my husband, who has several illnesses.
