Garrick has been my personal trainer for 7 months now and he is the best I've seen! He was able to identify all my lingering injuries and muscle imbalances in our first session, without me even saying anything! Each session he pushes me to my limit...sometimes I'm sore for the rest of the week! He guides me on what to eat and what to do the rest of the week by myself. In peak physical condition himself, he is very personable, motivational, and knowledgeable...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Jun 17, 2019Garrick Clig, CPT's reply
Thanks for the stellar review, brother. It’s quite the compliment coming from an athlete like yourself. I enjoy creating custom sessions for you and seeing what you’re capable of.
Working with Garrick has been life-changing. I play roller derby, and I broke my leg and ankle at a game back in November 2016. I didn't walk for nearly 6 months, and even with almost a solid year of physical therapy afterwards, I was still having issues with range of motion, leg strength, stability and pain, especially when skating. I eventually had to put away my skates, which took a toll on me physically and mentally. But since starting with Garrick in January of this year, it has all gotten so much better - range of motion in my ankle has improved (even though my doctor told me it was likely "as good as it would ever get"), my leg is stronger and more stable, and I have even started skating again! And though "fixing my bad leg" so I could skate was my only goal when I first started, Garrick made sure to include full-body circuits in my routines. I've been losing fat and gaining muscle and definition all over, and I am now in the best shape of my life (so far!). I am so much stronger than I was 6 months ago, I look and feel better than I ever have, and am more confident, too! Garrick definitely understands the "personal" aspect of personal training. He customizes my routines to fit me and my needs, always taking my injury and limitations into consideration, and will make adjustments or spend extra time working with me to warm up on the days I need it (rain still makes my leg stiff and painful). He also ensures I'm doing each exercise properly and with the correct form, so I get the maximum benefit of the exercise, while also offering sincere encouragement. As someone who has never been serious about working out, has never lifted weights before and has no idea what they're doing, this is all very much appreciated. Garrick genuinely cares about me and my progress, and I don't think I would have done as well as I have if it wasn't for him. I only wish I had found him sooner! I cannot recommend him enough!!Jun 10, 2019Garrick Clig, CPT's reply
Thank you so much, Stephanie, for your review. You are definitely a warrior and nothing was going to hold you back! You’ve worked so hard and it shows. I’m proud to have been a part of getting you back in skates and seeing your body change and your confidence grow in the process. 💪🏽
Look no further. As someone who has worked with all kinds of coaches and trainers, I can confidently say that there is no one like Garrick Clig. He is extremely knowledgeable about the body and training. He won't injure you like many other trainers might trying to make you do something you actually can't. He knows exactly how hard to push you to get maximum results while avoiding injury. Try him for a month. I guarantee you won't look back. Unless you're a quitter.May 19, 2020Verified

Thank you for the review, Landrum. I’ve enjoyed training and seeing the growth you and your dad have had. Gotta love that 6am father-son time! 💪🏽💪🏽
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I don’t use contracts. Payments are month to month and details can be worked out in advance. One Session (typically +/- 60 min) is $60 Two people training together is $70 Discount is offered for 20 Sessions paid in advance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The Client meets me at my Training Studio for an assessment, to discuss their goals in more detail and how we will work together to reach them. Before we start training, the Client signs a Liability Waiver and prepays for their Sessions. Typically one month at a time, however other payment schedules may be considered and can be discussed during the Consultation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was a state champion weightlifter in high school and offered to train at the U.S. Olympic weightlifting center in Colorado. I chose to play Div 1 football at the University of Maryland as an offensive lineman where I studied kinesiology and was trained by master strength coaches. I’m certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and continually study, learn and grow in the field so that I remain an asset to my clients.
