C&C carpet care is hands down the best carpet cleaners in the business. My wife and I needed to get out of our current apartment in a hurry and we sourced C&C carpet care to help us. Craig the owner came out and did an amazing job for an amazing price. He is very customer oriented and did not overcharge us at all. It was one flat rate with no hidden extras. He also informed me on procedures renters can take in the event the landlord try's to get shady. Hands down the best service, best price, best customer service we have ever had. I highly reccomend if your looking for a carpet cleaning service to call C&C. C&C will be the only carpet cleaning service we will use from here on out!

We have lived in Ponte Vedra 11 years and had tried all of the well-known carpet steam cleaners. Nobody cleaned our carpet as well as K.N.E. The husband-wife team worked at our house past 11pm on a Fri. night until the job was well-done, and their prices are very reasonable! High recommendation!

Quick Response, Excellent Work. Before coming to my home, Victor gave me a solid quote on the work I needed performed, and that is what I paid at the completion of job. Much unlike two other Carpet Cleaners who Advertised one price in an ad, Hem-Hawed around on the Phone about a solid quote, and then asked for a totally different (and much higher) figure once they got to my house. Truth in advertising and honesty are worth a lot in today's world and Victor displayed both of those qualities in our transaction. Great Company, I will definitely use again if I have the need.

I can't say enough about how great Katrina and Doug were in cleaning an old wool oriental rug. Got most of stains out - more than I ever expected and the rug now looks 100% better. Their price was too low and I gave them a $50 tip because they are great!! Please use them!

Our carpet needed some spot cleaning from dog urine and footprints near the front door, so that's why I turned to Thumbtack. Most of the quotes I received were for full blown carpet cleaning of all of the rooms in our house and the prices reflected that. Nate mentioned that was not necessary and as promised, his cleaners came by and used a vinegar and baking soda solution to soak the dirty spots and then used a brush and hot water to lift the stains out! Really impressed by the quality of the work and would highly recommend!

I offer a low-moisture soil encapsulation (dry cleaning) system that leaves your carpets clean and dry in 30 minutes or less, not the one to two days like the competition. You can carry one with your normal activities just as soon as I leave the job.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

    Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.

How do you find a good carpet cleaning company?

Regular professional carpet cleaning can both extend the life of your carpet and remove harmful pollutants from your home. Finding a good carpet cleaning company is an important aspect of home maintenance. When choosing a carpet cleaner, consider these top three questions:

    • What method of carpet cleaning do you prefer? Steam cleaning is an increasingly popular method because it’s thorough and safe, and dries quickly enough for you to return to your home the same day the carpets are cleaned.
    • Have you checked the company’s references? Most cities are home to several carpet cleaning companies, so it’s a good idea to check their reviews and references. Look for references from people in your neighborhood with homes similar to yours.
    • What’s included in the base price? What other services does the carpet cleaning company offer? Some companies will move furniture for you, while others charge a fee for it. Some include stairs in the cost of the home’s cleaning, while others charge per step.

    What does carpet cleaning cost?

National average carpet cleaning prices range between $100 and $130. Carpet cleaning prices depend on how many square feet of carpet you want cleaned, how many rooms in one house or building will be cleaned, how stained your carpet is, how much the carpet cleaning company charges, your ZIP code, and the type of carpet you have. Cost per square foot can range from 20 cents to $1 or more, based on the above variables. Synthetic carpets are typically the least expensive to clean; natural fibers like wool cost more, as they require more care and attention, as well as more drying time. Excessive stains, challenging locations such as stairs, and accessibility also factor into your carpet cleaning price. Companies may charge a minimum service fee for cleaning a small carpet to cover their business expenses (paying employees, transporting the special equipment to your home). If your pet has repeatedly saturated the carpet with urine or if the fibers are extremely matted down, it may make more sense to completely replace your carpet than to continue to have it cleaned.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
