I take Ivonne's yoga class on Saturday mornings in East Park. The class is a great experience and an excellent value. Ivonne is a great instructor because she includes modifications for every experience level and makes you feel comfortable at any level. My flexibility has improved greatly since I started taking her class. Also, the setting in beautiful East Park just adds that extra relaxing touch that leaves me smiling all weekend! Thank you Ivonne. Namaste.
Lindsay is a very dedicated, passionate and knowledgeable yoga teacher. I took private classes with her for several months. She taught me all the fundamentals of Vinyasa yoga and more. She also brought me material and suggested books and workshops to enhance my yoga practice. I would highly recommend her as a yoga teacher.
Liang is fantastic. Couldn't think of a better teacher to introduce my parents to yoga. Five stars!
Suzanne helped me recuperate from an injury when doctors and physical therapists could not. I own my mobility and fitness to her expertise, support, and inspiration. The gym is the best I've ever been to. The yoga class I take there has taught me more about the postures than any other yoga class I've attended since I started 17 years ago. Hands down the best fitness facility and Suzanne is phenomenal! You won't be disappointed if you go, and it's worth every penny.
Ms. Suzanne is very hands on and knowledgeable. She has helped me for 2 years with competitive yoga. I placed last year at nationals and hope to place, again, this year! Ms. Suzanne has coached me via Skype and also in person. She is easy to work with and explains things very well!
Superb in every aspect of teaching. SuryaStarr comes from a very grounded spiritual heart and meaningful focus to all those present in her class. She is extremely knowledgeable & professional in teaching proper alignment, form, centering, strength, breathing and release. Always encouraging one to be present within themselves while connecting with the yogic experience. SuryaStarr’s Yin Classes are nothing short of Brilliant! Personally, I find them a healing form of Yoga. Great for decompressing and releasing while being focused on a cellular level with your body as it communicates within you. It is a beautiful balance to a stressful life. She has given that gift to me. Because of SuryaStarr’s abilities & talent as a gracious teacher you carry that with you when walk (or float) out the door. Yin also compliments SuryaStarr’s Anusara Yoga 1 classes where she excels at teaching the five universal principles for alignment of both the inner & outer body. With her ever present knowledge she will gracefully guide one to strengthen & firm their muscular energy with rewarding awareness. She is a very gentle teacher that helps keep you on the path of your intentions of gaining the knowledge one is seeking in yoga. Oh, and I might add she has a great sense of humor! It is with much gratitude in my heart I have her as a teacher.
I have been Tracey's student for 11 years now & have found her to be an exceptional yoga teacher who embraces the whole yoga philosophy. Her classes are not mere workouts but embody all aspects of yoga including relaxation, breathwork & meditation. She is extremely knowledgeable about which postures benefit different areas of the body & shares this information with her students. I always leave her classes with a sense of peace & well being.
Grant is an inspiring and very talented yoga instructor. He is not just a great instructor, but someone who makes you feel comfortable and is like you knew him for years. He is very humble and he is very professional, and you will not be dissapointed! Grant is very patient and will support you from the level you are at even when you're being difficult and can't seem to get a pose right. He's just a very sweet, caring person by the way he teaches his class. Keeps everyone relaxed and smiling through the whole process. For that reason I enjoy yoga and he inspired me to continue yoga-practice at home when I don't have much time to get to class after work.

The Yoga Shala is located in the heart of Winter Park, Florida. The 2,100-square-foot studio includes a men and womens locker room, two restrooms, a large practice room, a private client room, and a retail boutique, featuring Beyond Yoga, Manduka, Love This Life, Be Love, and much more. The Yoga Shala offers daily yoga classes in the traditional Ashtanga Mysore yoga method, which is the safest, most effective way to learn yoga. In Mysore style classes, the students work individually with the instructor to learn Ashtanga yoga. Building their practice in a group setting, the students learn yoga postures one by one, and as each yoga posture is mastered, the students will gradually build up his or her practice. The focus of our individualized method is on personalized yoga instruction. Imagine a private yoga lesson in a group setting. This method of yoga instruction is the way that yoga is taught by Shri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy in Mysore, India, and why it has come to be known as Mysore style teaching. Practicing Yoga: Traditionally, Ashtanga yoga is recommended to be practiced daily. For busy Americans, this can be a huge commitment, but the benefits of a weekly yoga practice can spill into all areas of a yogis life. The Yoga Shala has two levels of membership: 3 days per week or monthly unlimited. As in India, the students at The Yoga Shala are asked to make a monthly commitment and come to class 3 to 6 days each week.
Group, private and corporate classes and retreats are available, including vinyasa flow, gentle, acu yoga, partner and team-building yoga and Pilates (all apparatuses).

Our mission at Sister Lotus Yoga is make yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of age, physical capabilities, or background. We recognize that we live busy, stressful lives and that it is difficult to find the time to dedicate to self-care. That is why we are a "mobile yoga" company, offering instruction on our student's schedules at their preferred location (or at our yoga space in Orlando). We believe that the physical and mental awareness gained by the practice of yoga is the key to happiness and abundance, and that all human beings are entitled to both. Sister Lotus offers traditional Ashtanga Yoga classes and retreats. Classes are tailored to the individual needs of the student, while honoring the tradition and lineage of Ashtanga Yoga as taught by Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, Karnataka, India. We teach yoga postures (asana) and also other yoga techniques like meditation, chanting and breathing (pranayama), depending on the needs of the student.
I teach group and private lessons in varying yoga styles. My main focus is to awaken the body using a healing/meditative approach that is super fun and easygoing. If you're not smiling in your yoga class, you're doing it wrong!
In addition to the standard yoga practice suited and built to cater the needs of each individual student I also incorporate different pranayama or breathing techniques that can be used on and off the mat. These techniques range from body warmers that build up heat and energy in the body to increase the heart-beat ( a sort of yogic cardio routine) to relaxing breaths that calm the mind and release tension. These can be used on a daily basis outside of the class. I also incorporate meditation techniques that the student can practice outside of the class if itâs something they are interested in pursuing.
At Heart of Florida Yoga, we create an authentic yoga experience. Every session begins with breath work to start a unionizing effect with the body and mind. We bring movement through warm-up as needed for each body type. Asanas are chosen to accommodate the individual's needs. In a group setting, we use variations and modifications. Every practice ends in final resting pose. This final pose gives the body and brain time for assimilation of the practice (meditation). You will decrease stress hormones and increase feel-good chemicals in the brain that will bring ease to the body. It seems the benefits of a yoga practice are endless. We want to see everyone cultivate a practice that suits them. We are here to help.
