Karen is amazing! I really enjoy taking lessons. I am learning a lot about singing, including my bad habits. If you are looking for an instructor for voice lessons, no matter your level, then Karen is the real deal!
Before I started Voice Lessons with Naomi, I didn't ever consider myself a "singer". I would just say "I sing sometimes". I even went to Performing Arts Middle School, Performing Arts High School and had several vocal coaches before Naomi. Even my father was a vocal coach! But I knew the type of vocal coach I needed. Someone who wasn't "conventional" or "classical" and most of all... Someone who believed that I could sing as well as I wanted to! My first lesson with Naomi CHANGED MY LIFE! Not only did she understand what I was self conscious about with my voice, she PUSHED ME THROUGH it and did not give up on me until I had the voice I always knew that I could have! After one lesson, I knew there was hope. Just one lesson is all it took. Each continuing lesson, I became better and better and better until ALL OF SUDDEN, I found myself as the Lead Singer of THREE bands, with gigs as often as I said "Yes" and people coming up to me at gigs saying "I knew that was you singing!! I could tell by your amazing voice!" Well...that amazing voice was tweaked and prodded and worked over and over by the amazing Naomi! Without her I would have not had as much fun in the music world as I do, without her I wouldn't have gone as far as I have! Basically without Naomi, I would have never called myself a singer. Now, when someone say's "What do you do" I can proudly say "I'm a singer". I happened to marry a vocal coach and even still to this day...When I'm up on stage or I feel like I need a little help vocally, Naomi will forever be in my heart as the top vocal coach in this world!
Ms. Moore has been nothing but kind and welcoming to us. She has great patience with my son, who was diagnosed with ADHD. Despite his wiggling, he enjoys Ms. Moore's vocal lessons and is always eager to start. She is very engaged and involved, even before and after lessons, as well as forthright, yet polite and and respectful. We have the utmost respect for her, and she deserves commitment and respect for her time. Love her!
I have been working with Kevin for a few months now and have really enjoyed my sessions. He is very flexible and really pays attention to my interests/style. I look forward to many more sessions and the ability to play a few songs with good skill in the future. I have done in-person lessons as well as video sessions and both have been great. It's nice to have the different options. Kevin is awesome!
Mrs. Borodina was my daughter's vocal teacher for 6 years. I was very pleased and impressed by both her professionalism and compassion for both children and music. She taught my daughter to take her talent seriously yet have fun with it. She exposed her to a wide variety of classical and contemporary music. She was very open to work on music to help prepare my daughter for vocal competitions with her school. The vocal lesions were always on time and sometimes, because there was not a student after my daughter's lesion, they ran a little longer. Mrs. Borodina even helped with my daughter's musical being the accompanist for it. (My daughter wrote and directed the original play during her senior year in high school) I would highly recommend Mrs. Borodina to anyone wishing vocal lessons.
We are thrilled with our son's music lessons at Maestro Maines Studio! Our son has had both drum lessons and steel pans lessons, and he has enjoyed both! In fact, he loves the steel pans class so much that he looks forward to that class all week. As a homeschool family, I am thrilled that homeschool classes will be added starting in January, along with a group steel pans class. Yippee! It's businesses like this that make me love our community. Give it a try! Your kiddo(s) will probably love it!
Maria Yerdon is an amazing teacher of both voice and piano. I have had experience with many music professionals, and taught both music and piano myself. It is Ms. Yerdon whom I seek out to further continue my own personal learning and development. Her passion for music is contagious and she conveys that to each and every student, no matter their experience level. It is energizing to learn from her, because she has a way of communicating hard to understand concepts in a way that makes them achievable to master. I value her as both a teacher and mentor.
I would recommend Evolution of Music to anyone looking to get started or continue lessons. They make it really easy for you to get started and never make you feel pressured luke some other places. Abby and the staff are great and very knowledgeable and skilled at their instruments. If you are in the Palmetto area they are your best bet!
Working with Gayle has been a wonderful experience. I came to her for voice lessons, but overtime I realized that I am gaining so much more. She is highly skilled and makes me feel so comfortable. Gayle has not only helped me with the technical aspect of singing, but she understands that singing is more of an emotional experience. She has helped me break through a lot of self limitations, free of judgement. I value our lessons and look forward to them each week. Thank you Gayle for helping me tap into a part of myself that I've dreamed of for so long.
We have been bringing the boys for drums and piano lessons since March of 2014, both of them really like their teachers, Miles and Osmond. Nice facility.

My name is Justin E. Walden, and I am from East Tennessee. My musical heritage stretches back to age 8 when I first started to learn how to play the guitar from my dad. He was the greatest musical influence in my life and still is. After exploring the guitar, I decided to venture out and try the banjo, then the mandolin, and finally the violin. I never really got into sports during my childhood, but I sure drove my parents crazy with squeaky strings when I first began to play. EXPERIENCE By and large, my full-time musical career started at around age 12 when I began playing with my family band, The Crystal Road Band. During my stint with my family band, I performed on average of 150 bookings per year. Here I alternated between instruments to fill in the gaps of lost members to maintain the full sound of the music. After 8 years of on-stage performance and studio sessions, I gleaned many insights on musical styles and concepts that have helped me in my musical career. While performing with my family band, I was able to also perform with some of the most talented performers such as Paul Williams & the Victory Trio, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and many other great artists. GENRES PERFORMED Traditional | Americana | Classic Rock | Folk | Country/Bluegrass | Hip Hop | Pop | Contemporary Booking can be done directly via CONTACT page. I am a recent graduate from Harrison School for the Visual and Performing Arts for vocal performance. I have taken lessons for over 6 years and love teaching others how to read and understand music. I work very well with children and love interacting with others. I've given lessons to children age 7-15, teaching them how to read music, expand their voices, and grow in tone and placement of voice.
