Jaime was a godsend when it came to training my dog. We came to Jaime with Dahlia to train her to be my service dog. Dahlia had extreme fear and anxiety, Jaime corrected her issues and moved onto service work. Jaime trained Dahlia how to do basic commands along with tasks needed for my disabilities. We continue to work on scent training. I am so glad I came to Jaime with my girl. You couldn’t ask for a better trainerAug 18, 2020Verified
Since we have been working with my dog it seems that this program is starting to work out. My dog is starting to be more submissive and not so tense. He had a lot of anxiety but now he's coming around and it makes us feel a lot better his relationship with us and that he's not so scared about everything. Thanks to the way Jamie's program teaches us to work with our dog. I'd recomend her and her program to other people. We're happy we found her. She's helped us with our loved dog. Thanks again.Jun 14, 2020Verified
Jamie is an excellent trainer. Prince, my dog, was very receptive to her training and I felt really comfortable leaving him in her care for three weeks. I really liked that she was very knowledgeable and very easy to understand. Prince and I even did follow up classes when I got back. I highly recommend her. Thank you Jamie!!!!!!Oct 18, 2017Verified
My husband and I weren't really sure what to expect and we were both pleasantly surprised. The training was not at all what we were used to, it was performed in a series of games and activities and both of our dogs picked up on it really quickly. Over the course of our training we noticed that our dogs were a lot more responsive, attentive and happier to be doing what we wanted. As soon as I would get the treats and start the at home follow up from our training sessions our dogs would be smiling and wagging their tails. For this type of training, the more you put into it the more you and your dogs will get back. I would definitely recommend Jaime and Play Your Way ObedienceOct 9, 2017Verified
Jamie is extremely knowledge and really understands what different dogs need. I have noticed vast improvements and positive changes in my dog. I really like that the training is all done through games, my dog is much more motivated by that! Jamie provides the tool, but you will be required to put in quite a bit of work outside of scheduled appointments. You will be responsible for daily "homework," be sure you can make the time commitment. Trust me, it is worth it!Oct 4, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is $100 per hour for private sessions but there are many discount packages available. Group class is $200 for an 8 week class except for Snake Avoidance Without Shock which is $125 for 6 weeks of group class. Board and train is $500 per week with a minimum of 2 weeks ($1000). Puppies under 6 months get an automatic discount on private sessions and board and train. Weekly seminars are $10 per person - no dogs allowed except service dogs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We always do a free evaluation first. This ensures that the training and/or behavior plans will meet the needs of both the dog and the humans. Then we decide based on a functional assessment, whether group training, private training or board and train is needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I take online classes, working seminars all over the country and purchase all the latest DVDs and books. I work with other trainers developing new methods of handling issues and problems. Years and years ago, I got a degree in Animal Behavior.
