We hired That Awesome Entertainment Co for our wedding planning and DJ services. Franco, the DJ, had everyone on their feet and truly kept the party alive. He was great to plan the song selection with, asked a lot of questions to make sure he knew what kind of mood we wanted to set. Jessica, the wedding planner helped prepare everything before the big day and was a huge lifesaver on the day of the wedding. All I wanted was a carefree day with no problems, and she made that come true. She coordinated with all of the vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly. They are the most easygoing, fun p eople to work with. Hire them, they are simply amazing!

I have know Dali for some time now and from the moment we met we became friends. Not only do I value her as a friend, but I value her work ethic. Even before becoming engaged, I knew that Dali would be the only person that I would call to assist with my wedding, not just because she's my friend, but because of her dedication to her craft. She has an eye for events. She's listens and helps to create a beautiful moment. This weekend, I attended another friends wedding and OFCOURSE Dali was hired as the coordinator. I watched her create a stress free environment for the Bride and Groom on one of the most important days in their lives. Dali went above and beyond to ensure that NOTHING was missed! If you want the person that isn't in this business just for the money, then Dali is who you want to go with.

In the many, many years I have been officiating wedding ceremonies, I have worked with many dozens of wedding planners. I must say that Ana at Color My Dream is one of the best planners I have had the privilege of working with. She consistently followed up with me throughout the entire planning process, ensuring that I was meeting the needs of the bride and groom, and providing me with updates in a timely basis. On the day of the event, severe weather required quick thinking and last minute changes, and she was able to navigate these professionally and politely at all times. It is a true pleasure to have worked with Ana, and I am looking forward to our continued professional relationship in the future. She comes to you with high recommendations and trust.

Words can’t even begin to describe my appreciation towards Mariane and all she did. I had a dream wedding and specific things I wanted and Mariane took my vision and not only turned it into reality but she made it better than what I could have ever imagined. Our wedding was flawless. People could not stop talking about how amazing it was and saying how it was the best wedding they ever been to and like a fairytale. This would not have been possible without Mariane. She went above and beyond. Anything I needed she was always there to help me make decisions and implement them. And she is truly a one of a kind person who has become a great friend through this process. I beyond recommend Mariane....as in if you choose to hire a wedding planner you should not pick anybody else!!

Not only would I recommend any bride to have a wedding planner, but I would recommend Fabienne and her wonderful team in a heart beat. She was fantastic. She thought of every detail and took care of everything. Without her many things on my wedding day would have been a disaster and I would have had to deal with them. Instead I enjoyed myself and had an amazing wedding day. Thank you to Fabienne for a job well done.

Elaine was with me every step of the way for all of my random questions, thoughts, etc as I was planning my wedding. She even came to my wedding dress alteration sessions, helped me select the perfect robes for my bridesmaids for our "getting ready" photos, met with my florist, came to my meetings with the catering manager at the hotel, and contacted All of my vendors to set up a timeline for The day of. I was having trouble incorporating one of my colors into the decor so she even offered to make beautiful little boxes for the tables that would act as another giveaway and would add a contrasting color to the whole decor. I could not have asked for a more dedicated wedding planner leading up to my actual wedding day.

Thank you Irene!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we decided to get married we knew that it would be necessary to have someone to help us with the organization as we live in New York City and it would be complicated to coordinate the service providers, venue, church and transportation. Living there we searched the internet and found Irene’s website. After a telephone interview, we realized that Irene was a very professional person, passionate about her work yet at the same time very sensitive and in tune with the wishes and imagination of the bride and groom. It seemed to us that she would be a perfect fit to work with us on the planning of our wedding. Irene thought of every detail always ensuring that everything came out as we had imagined. In addition, Irene introduced us to her contacts who were all of the highest level of professionalism; each one kind and open to suggestions – the photographer, caterer, DJ, hair stylist, make-up artist and obviously including her direct team. The only problem we encountered was that Irene and her crew threw such an amazing party, that our family and friends are already expecting that we repeat it… Irene, we want to thank you sincerely for having helped us organize this wonderful party and the chance to create unforgettable memories with our families and friends. About 2 months ago my daughter turned 1 and I thought throwing it would a piece of cake . However , being a full time working single mother it wasn't as easy as I had envisioned it would be . About 3 weeks before the party I realized I was in serious trouble . I hadn't purchased any party favors , no decorations , order the cake/food/drinks , that list could go on forever . So I'll keep it short and say the only thing I had successfully done for this party was send out invitations . A friend of recommended Natalie Rowe to help me. There was not a person that I could have been more grateful for helping me . I gave her a small budget and a list of things that needed to be accomplished m. Not only were the things on my list accounted for she had done a little more . Here I was thinking my budget was going to do much but she made it much more . Needles s to say herprofessionalism, quick thinking, and resources is goin to take her a lot further than just my daughters first birthday party (even though every parent understands how big of a deal the first birthday is). Thank Me Later!

Bingo! December 20, 2014, Edwich pops the question and Nathaelle says: “yes.” The wedding is scheduled for August 8, 2015. From that minute, we know a wedding planner is needed. Here we go, in January 2015, Edwich, Nathaelle, and I are introduced to Melissa Israel. Our first impression: • Melissa, who wore a perfect professional suit, showed up on time at the meeting point. • Upon our arrival, her laptop was already on, ready to demonstrate her “savoir-faire” with samples. • Her explanations flowed flawlessly in a persuasive and confident tone. • Her many different options for service and her price range left us speechless. Melissa was hired for the whole planning without a doubt that the wedding was going to be fabulous despite our restrictive budget. Journey: January - August Throughout the journey, Melissa kept constant contact with us while negotiating here and there with all our contractors. Most importantly, she also played the role of an adviser and counselor, which alleviated the stress that such an event encompassed. Her timeline was on point and easy to follow. Melissa deserved a commendation for her patience and her after-party services for she went above and beyond for our complete satisfaction. In sum, Melissa possesses the kind of savvy and skills needed to run the show. Future brides, grooms, and parents, we strongly recommend Melissa for all important events in your life. She knows how to make them unforgettable and stress free. Signed: Edwich, Nathaelle, and Rose

What does a wedding event coordinator do?

Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more. A wedding event coordinator can help you keep track of these details, overseeing the planning process and managing everything on the day of your wedding. Each wedding coordinator (and wedding) is different, but in general you can expect an event coordinator to:

        • Help you devise a realistic wedding budget and hold your vendors to it.
        • Map out a master plan that includes all of the details including ceremony music, favors, the guest book and more.
        • Suggest ceremony and reception locations that fit your wedding size, budget and vision.
        • Suggest florists, photographers, bands, caterers and other vendors that fit your budget.
        • Negotiate vendor contracts for the best deals.
        • Create a timeline for the day of the wedding that includes each vendor and member of your wedding party.
        • Mail invitations and track RSVPs.
        • Answer questions about wedding etiquette and current wedding trends.
        • Manage the wedding day from supervising vendors and setup to handling last-minute emergencies.

        What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

        • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
        • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
        • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer. Make sure your wedding coordinator provides the type of services that will most help you create the event you have in mind, such as selecting vendors and handling their contracts, or managing the guest list and invitations.
        • What are your ideas for fulfilling our wedding vision? After you describe your dream wedding — rustic or sophisticated, traditional or funky — the wedding coordinator should be able to suggest appropriate venues, menus, decorations, etc..

Do you have a portfolio? Ask to see photos of their favorite weddings, especially if they’ve managed any that are similar to what you have in mind. This will help you see if you like their style and if their ideas seem fresh and creative.

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

        • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
        • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
        • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
        • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.
        • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
        • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.

Even if you don’t think you need a wedding coordinator, check with your venue. Some require that couples hire a day-of wedding coordinator for the day of the event.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
