What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was the simple evolution of my industry which is graphic design. Photography has always been an integral part of what I do, and when the opportunity presented itself to expand my aerial imagery services, I jumped at the chance to learn all that I could to deliver spectacular images.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential & Commercial Real Estate. Events. And am expanding those events to include dirt track racing and motocross sports.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Unique residential lakefront property surrounded by water on 3 sides. Property lined with very old large trees. Utilized the DJI Phantom to show the property to potential buyers from a perspective unavailable by any other means. Full 3 1/2 min video turned out beautifully.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Understand what you are getting. The photography industry is very competitive and there are those that are willing to cut their price in order to get a job. I believe in you "get what you pay for" and photography is no different. Photo shoots are detailed oriented events. Many variables come into play including weather and a vision for the end product. Have a plan.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Anyone can take photos. Not everyone can capture your subject that achieves your goal whether selling real estate or capturing an event. It's an art. I believe my experience in both is what separates me from the competition.
