I can honestly say Charlie has been an awesome teacher! I had a specific goal in mind when I wanted to take up guitar lessons on an improbable timeline. Not only did Charlie have full confidence in reaching my goal in time, but tailored the lessons from day 1 to what I wanted to achieve.

I have known Chris for over Thirty years, and have benefited greatly from his knowledge of and passion for music. He has been a mentor on my chosen instrument (which is the bass guitar), and taught me many concepts that opened doors of perception as I pursued my personal quest to master my instrument. He has recorded, mixed, and mastered many of my personal song projects with great results. His knowledge of studio equipment and techniques is impressive. He is a master of his instrument (the guitar) and all the associated gear, hardware, effects, amps, etc. My personal home studio would have been impossible for me to get up and running without his advice and direction. On a personal note I consider him one of my lifelong friends. He is both humble, and humorous. You can’t go wrong choosing his services and wisdom in any area involving music performance, theory, and production. Sincerely, Robert Rice

Ms. Minnie is an awesome, loving and an extremely caring teacher. Ms. Minnie goes out of her way to make the children feel special and very confident about themselves. Ms. Minnie holds 2 recitals each year and my Daughter looks forward to every single one. She commends each chil with beautiful trophies and always has a special speech prepared for each of her students. My Daughter has been with her for 2 years and has mastered the piano to the fullest. She is about to start taking guitar lessons with Ms. Minnie really soon. I would recommend Ms. Minnie to any child or adult who is looking for a loving and concerned teacher and friend. She is the greatest!!

I began my guitar lessons with Dave Garski initially knowing nothing at all about music theory or how to play the guitar. By the time that I ended my lessons with him three years later I was able to figure out and write my own music. I as well learned and became comfortable with many different scales. What I appreciated about Daves Teaching methods was the one and one teaching style. I think it allowed for a more personalized education plan that was custom tailored to my specific needs, in my areas of strength/difficulties in music. While a appreciated the free form teaching methods that he also practiced, I would have preferred teaching that was a bit more structured. Overall I have to say that I had an incredibley positive experience from Dave Garski's "guitar lessons orlando" and would, if I still had the financial means, continue my lessons with him if I could.

I am the owner of DG Rockers Guitar and Music School, a private music school located in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Valentín has served as music instructor as well as music director for over 2 years at my school. Based on my experience, I believe his dedication, passion, knowledge, and innovation have proved to make him an amazing teacher. I first met Francisco on October of the year 2013 when he was interviewing for the position of piano instructor at my school and I remember right away knowing that he would be a great fit. His humility and passion towards serving others was evident right away. Francisco has an incredible gift of being able to connect with young people through music. Over the years I saw Francisco take initiative and build up the music program, composing songs mindfully catered to his students’ musical development, creating his own music learning sheets, inventing comparisons and games to help his students better understand musical concepts, and even simplifying more advanced musical exercises such as the Hanon techniques so that his students could begin strengthening their coordination and technique right from the beginning. I also witnessed him bringing an idea we brainstormed together to life by creating fun and effective rock band classes and putting together concerts with me to showcase our students’ achievements. His upbeat, positive, and kind demeanor was always a great source of inspiration for our students, their parents, and his peers. The passion with which he taught each class cultivated a love for music in every student’s heart that I believe has left a lasting imprint. We always believed in building a sense of community with our students and their parents. This was something that Mr. Valentín was very passionate about, to the extent that he became a mentor and positive role model to our students, catching up with them every class, advising them positively on all matters musical and non-musical, and even bringing them Christmas gifts. He also became a great friend to our family of parents, always treating them with respect, kindness, and talking with them after classes. I believe Mr. Valentín would be a tremendous teacher for anyone and has my utmost recommendation. Brian was a fantastic piano and guitar instructor for my daughter. He truly makes learning fun for a teenager. He was always on time, patient during lessons, and his amazing talent was inspirational. Plus he has a great personality and gets along well with parents. His fees are very fair, too. (My daughter stopped lessons because she went off to college.).....Additionally, Brian is a wonderful entertainer for parties. He recently played at my mother's 85th birthday bash. EVERYONE loved his beautiful classical guitar music.

About

As a teacher, I focus equally on formal technique and personal expression. Mastering correct form provides the foundation, upon which a student's capacity for the latter may grow. I view our time together as an opportunity to encourage musical and personal growth. My goal is to encourage discipline while fostering creativity. Maintaining the student's interest by adapting my teaching methods to every individual is an important focus, as is engaging the student by allowing him/her choice in the material we learn in lessons. This not only facilitates a cooperative environment, but also allows me to tailor my teaching style to the student's interests, strengths, and learning preferences. My tuition for private instructions are as follows: * 30 minutes for $25 * 45 minutes for $37.50 * 60 minutes for $50 I believe music theory is an important focus for a student to understand how tones relate to each other in any piece of music. These relationships will be explored aurally, visually, and tactilely in all lessons. In teaching, my goal is to encourage students to learn and grow independently. In my studio (or your home), mistakes are opportunities for improvement. For the duration of our lesson, you (or your child) are in a nurturing zone of freedom of expression. Join me in an exploration of personal talent and creativity.
