- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am happy to send a list of my design packages. And, I encourage prospective clients to set up a time to talk via the phone, facetime, skype, or to come to my office so we can go over their project and so they can ask questions. It's important to see if we are a match and if I am able to help.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Before a client hires me we have discussed my fees, how I work, how I charge, and what they are receiving. I try to be as transparent as possible. Once I start to work with a client I will start with an initial visit to see the space(s) that we are going to work on in person. I want to measure it, take pictures, and of course, talk to the client to see what they are hoping for as the final result. After that, I might do a furniture plan, or make initial selections for furniture, paint color, etc. We go from there. The client and I meet again, to review what has been done, what they like, and what needs to be done next to keep the processes moving towards completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My first degree I received is in Economics and Business Administration. I worked many years in that field. I specialized in streamlining processes and customer service to some very large telecommunication companies. I like efficiency and I bring this to all of my work and processes in interior design. I had the opportunity to go back to school and I got a degree in interior design. I did many internships in different companies, residential, commercial, hospitality, and so on. When I started my own company in 2009, I did that so I could be the face to the client and give outstanding customer service as well and amazing design.
