FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Like with most professions, you will find qualified and unqualified individuals calling themselves a professional. Home inspectors are no different. In some ways, it's even more difficult to differentiate the good home inspectors from the bad home inspectors, primarily because few states regulate or license home inspectors. Here are a few tips to hiring a qualified inspector: 1. Review a Sample Home Inspection Report 2. Inquire About the Length of Your Home Inspection 3. Ask if the Inspector Charges for a Reinspection - If an inspector identifies a problem and the homeowner repairs it, it's considered a courtesy for the inspector to verify the repair without charging for a return visit. 4. Ask to Attend the Home Inspection 5. Ask for Credentials/Qualifications & Insurance A qualified inspector will have no problem providing all of the above.
