A. What the general public often refuses to understand- is that my services are often free of charge. The benefits are priceless!
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Before a buyer, or tenant makes contact with us- they should have a particular geographic location in mind and a definite or "estimated" budget.

A. I help people home.
For most people- moving and relocation is one of the most stressful life changing events known. Some of the questions that arise;

These and many other thoughts come to buyers and tenants minds... I like being able to put people at ease.

A. It depends on your financial ability and how long you plan on living in the property.

A. Mott Kornicki has been an active real estate broker, Mortgage Broker and Florida Notary Public since 1978 ~ a real estate broker must wear many hats; advisor, consultant, driver, therapist, accountant, mind reader :) and most importantly a friend.
During the past 32 years ~ I have made many life-long friendships relationships and along the way- helped countless families find the perfect place to hang their hat - a place called home.
What many people do not realize is that a real estate agent does not earn a red cent, nor a shiny dime... until the buyer or tenant takes possession of the home, condominium, apartment or business location.
Most all real estate professional work on a commission basis ONLY. During the past few years- many people in the real estate and/or related field such as mortgage brokers, home inspectors, lenders, etc. have entered new fields of work.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. This is a great question proposed by thumbtack.com
As a child growing up- I always had a dream of being a Game Show Host. I know that is a peculiar profession to strive for... but its was my dream, my fantasy and that's the story that I am sticking to.
In about 1976 My best friend was studying for the Florida Real Estate Salesman's Exam. He asked me to help him study by reading random questions from the text book. I started to enjoy the subject matter and dove in...head first in the Real Estate Business in 1978.
I became a Broker in 1979 and as they say..the rest is history. My friend- Rick Romash and myself, later became partners in a real estate brokerage business by the name of Waterway Properties, Inc.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. The real estate market is constantly in a state of change. With the recent mortgage fiasco; lenders are taking extreme measures to not let history repeat.
In this market 2011, We will be seeing far more all cash transactions. Many investors are swarming in to buy South Florida Real Estate.

A. We are a Florida Notary Public ~ Duly authorized and appointed by The Governor of The Great State of Florida. Our fees vary according to the services rendered.
Typically- our fees are $10.00 per signing / sealing. Documents that need to be translated are priced on a scale according to complexity.
Apostille Services to over 75 Countries. Prices range from $150.00 to $275.00

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. For any newcomer to the real estate business~ don't think for one moment that it is going to be easy. There are many, many people that will burn your gas, waste your time and afterwards expect you to buy them lunch, dinner and then drive them to the airport!
Be cautious with the people you choose to work for and work with.

A. When was Waterway Realty founded?
Waterway Realty was originally started as Waterway Properties, Inc. by Rick Romash ~ a veteran real estate broker and developer liaison in Aventura, Hallandale Beach and Downtown Miami. Mr. Romash is currently the broker-owner of Millennium Real Estate Developers.
Mott Marvin Kornicki and Rick Romash started Waterway Properties in order to serve the needs of Buyers, Sellers, Landlords and Tenants in Aventura-The Waterways, Florida ~ The Residential enclave at 207th Street at The Intracoastal Waterway in 1987 Coscan-Canada was the original developer.
That is how we started and have been sailing along this majestic journey ever since.
