Introduction: Vocal results & Artist development I have been teaching singing for 10+ years. I've enhanced singing lessons into a complete program of vocal mastery/songwriting/production. I am an active music artist, music production/audio engineer college graduate, "The voice" ex-participant and vocal producer with vast experience in online music marketing. Today's music industry requires to be prepared and aware of its fundamentals. Voice mastery, digital distribution and streaming, producing, audio recording, royalties, interpretation, social media, songwriting, copyright, are all random pieces of a puzzle you must put together in order to succeed. I've been making music for over 22 years and I've felt the pain of figuring out this puzzle by myself. I've been copyright stolen, false magic lesson invested, lousy contract scammed, paying to perform, falling short of budget, trading soul for fame and many other beauties of this industry in my journey to try to make a living out of expressing myself. My goal today is to use my experience to shorten the learning curve of others. My scope is on keeping you focused on your craft and introducing you to technologic tools that will allow you to keep expressing yourself purely and make it a sustainable lifestyle or an empowering hobby by seeing progress and results. Let me guide you through your journey and find together your unique voice. Stay focused on your dreams. Rodolfo G FAQ Can anyone sing? Yes, singing is a practice that involves muscle development, coordination, and flexibility as well as musical understanding through ear training. I have effective methods to identify issues and solutions to achieve your singing goals. How long will it take to see results? It depends on where we stand and where we want to be. Goals should be set depending on the strengths and limits of each persons voice. The time of improvement can vary form the first lesson to years ahead depending on that goal. Normally 6 months with consistent training will get the muscles used to the exercise to perceive improvement. Is online better than in person? Online is bringing great benefits to my students: no cost or time of transportation, sing at your personal space, set your singing spot with the tools you need. I have identified more focus in online sessions. On the other hand, in person allows us to record at the studio and play music live. Will you take me to stardom? I am a professional singer with experience in major record label deals, touring, live performance, songwriting, music production and TV appearances. I made many mistakes in my career and some very good decisions as well. All I can do, if that would be the path you’re pursuing, is to cut the learning curve for you, support your efforts and warn you about the consequences of your choices. Am I too young or too old to sing? I’ve had 70+ years old students still achieving results as they learn that music has its logic behind it and not only raw talent. I would recommend starting lessons not earlier than 6 or 7 years old unless the kid is super interested and focused and has evident natural ease but I’ve also seen 5 year olds who have a clear vision for this. Beyond age, interest and focus makes you the best candidate for my program. Uninterested people tend to have slow if any results and goal driven people prove to have better results even if they don’t perceive themselves as naturally talented. What genres do you teach? I don’t teach genres, I reinforce them. I try to use the best singers I know as reference regarding technique, creativity and style but If a singer has a very unique style I try to encourage their uniqueness. What comes after I sing well? Songwriting, producing and releasing music. Collaborating with other people and performing live and I will assist in all those areas when we get there. Am I too bad for singing? I believe anyone can find themselves in music. The minute you sing to express and not to impress the game changes. It is true that some people have more ability and ease for singing, call it physical attributes or innate understanding of music but success lies in what you do with what you have and celebrating your uniqueness and identity. Not all great singers are great artists and not all great artists are great singers. Am I too good to get a vocal coach? Vocal coaches not necessarily are better than you. Like athlete coaches, vocal coaches are there to assist you, know about your voice status, range, capabilities and weaknesses. They assist you to find the best key for the songs you perform, keep track of your trainings, accompany your songs, assist in producing, arranging and songwriting and know you at a personal level where you can express openly. They are honest and objective with you both when you feel like you’re a voice God and when you’re feeling worthless. Do I need to dream about stardom to get singing lessons. No. You set your own limits. I have many clients from real estate, finance, technology and many unrelated industries which just love music, want to develop their emotional expression or simply have a personal challenge. I’ve even coached people to improve their verbal communication skills for sales. I’ve seen some impressive talents that will forever remain hidden and I respect that. (If you ever change your mind I can still help though) About me I have been teaching singing for 9+ years.
