Introduction: For the past twenty-two years I worked as an Interior Designer and managed an upscale Furniture Showroom in the Design District with the most prestigious collection of Italian Furniture, such as Cassina, Il Loft, Reflex-Angelo, Alias, Penta Lighting and many more. I consulted and helped many different clients with all kind of budget. I love to help them restructure their living space, sometimes it doesn't take much to enhance what they already have, but have no idea how to lay it out in an aesthetic way or don't have the right key element missing to make it look well designed and complete. With the appropriate furniture layout for their space, and a concept in mind, the selection of furniture, lighting, accessories and artwork all come together to create the space they've always dreamed of. For Home Staging it's a different process, you have to keep in mind the kind of buyers the seller is most likely going to attract and stage their residence with the appropriate style. Also, the selling price of the residence will also dictate the type of staging you will do. Staging a condo in a building where most of the residents are young professionals will be completely different than staging a home in a residential neighborhood most suited for family with children or an older couple. A successful staging is key to selling your home quickly and over your asking price. Staging is an important step, it can make-it-or-break it. I love the reaction of my clients after the work is done, I understand that it is difficult for busy working people to maintain a well-designed and organized home, they just don't have the time to do it. My concept is to design their home in a way that it's easy for them afterwards to keep it clutter free, organized and beautiful. A well designed and organized home is a happy home!

We hired Carole for Interior Design Services and we received the quality we were looking for. She understood our needs, proposed her idea and the result was way beyond our expectations. Carole guided us through our selection and always respected our opinion and with her creativity and expertise, Carole created exactly the décor and the vibes we were hoping for. The most striking with Carole is her kindness and her skills. We had a great complicity and it made the project so enjoyable. Annie

I first met Carole when she was Manager of the Cassina Showroom in the Design District. Carole had an in-depth knowledge of her Collections and guided me through with great details with the finishes and upholstery of all my home furnishings we selected together. Afterwards, Carole got involved with the Design process for more than two years with me, all the way to the delivery and layout of the furniture. Carole was very professional and I highly recommend her. Dominique Nassau Bahamas

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

It's difficult for Home Staging to price per room, so it's only an average price posted on Thumbtack. There's a lot to consider in staging, if you are using their actual furniture and just adding some accent pieces missing or If you are staging a vacant home, they will also have the monthly fee of the furniture rental added to the initial price. Realistically, you can only give your customer a final price after a consultation, once you know the scope of work there is to do.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

If it is an Interior Design project, I sit down with the customer and ask questions about the way they live, how they would want their space to reflect, if they have children, if they entertain at home, we go over their budget and see if it is realistic for the work they want to have done. I look at their space and furniture and see how I can do the project keeping some elements they already have and would love to keep so it can save them a lot with their budget. You get to know a lot more at that first consultation with the customer.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a AA's of Art in Interior Design. I also have 22 years experience working as a Manager / Interior Designer in Upscales Furniture Showrooms managing many different projects.
