FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I'm always reading the new issues of Organic Spa Magazine to learn more about what skin care is out there. In order for your makeup to look amazing you need to be able to properly take care of your skin! Also, when I get a chance I seek out the latest makeup in Sephora. It's always good to test it on yourself in the store. Everyone in there are always friendly (Aventura Mall location).
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My Mom was a makeup artist for about 20 years and growing up I would go with her to jobs. I love the art of makeup and she inspired me to get my first makeup artist job at Nordstrom where she used to work. I learned a lot about cosmetics from them while working at the Lancome counter. They would send me to the Ritz Carlton to stay for three days every six months and learn all about Lancomes skincare and makeup from their top makeup artists and estheticians.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Meet them in person before you decide! and go with your gut feeling!
