I hired B & L Tree and Landscaping on 6 Aug 2016. Please don't make the mistake I made when I paid all of the material costs up front. Initially, we decided to make some changes to our plans which slowed things down. However, I would go 4-5 days without anyone showing up at my house. One time it was Lisa's birthday. Another time, it was because their mother got evicted. Each time, they wouldn't even contact me. On 2 Sep, we finally agreed to all of the changes and I was told it would only take the originally agreed to 1 1/2 to 2 weeks to finish my project. When that time passed, I was told by Billy on 25 Sep that my project would be completed on in 1 week. When I was told this, I told them they had until 10 Oct to finish my project or I would terminated their contract. From 23-27 Sep, no one even showed up to work. On 28 Sep, they removed some brush from my yard and left. On 29 Sep, they dropped off some dirt. On 30 Sep, they stated they would be here and didn't show up. On 1 Oct, they showed up and brought a trailer that they parked in my yard for 9 days after they said it would be removed on 3 Oct. It had a missing tire and they told me they got ticketed bringing the bobcat to my house on the trailer. On 2-6 Oct, no one showed up. On 7 Oct, I found out the paver guy who was working with B & L quit because Billy and Lisa were always fighting. The new guy was't nearly as good and I had to redo some of his work. On 10 Oct, I worked with him all day. He and I tried calling Billy and Lisa and texting them and never received a reply. On the evening of 10 Oct, I notified B & L Tree and Landscaping via e-mail no more work would be completed until we made a new arrangement or they returned my funds. I also informed them I would file in small claims court if I didn't hear from them by Friday, 14 Oct. I still haven't heard from them and obtained the court paperwork today. With court fees, I will be seeking over $3,000 from them. The material costs alone are over $1,800. Their own workers told me this business won't last. Don't make the mistake I did. I am including some pictures of what my yard looks like right now.Oct 14, 2016VerifiedLisa L.'s reply
TypeMr Morgan, contract was breached by you when your wife made you change it all up after we already agreed on and you gave the go ahead on the original estimate I am not going to pay out of my pocket for your landscape project it took me 2 days to lookup and price all the materials and then you started nickel & dimeing me. You should have priced your own materials from the start and not waist my time.It seems to me that you have probably done this before. You ran my help off when they were working on the job we did not have a deadline but you think you can make up the rules as you go. We will see in court . BILLY your response to this review.
