FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe that when you create an image of an individual that it is imperative to capture the essence of that person. When I shoot someone new I take the first thirty minutes to just get to know them. You can tell when someone is stiff in an image. By simply becoming a friend to my client, it helps alleviate the stress that can occur when having their image captured.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started out shooting and editing video in high school back in 2008. From there I moved on to Florida State University where I was accepted into the highly competitive Media Production program. While attending FSU I shot for the live video board, as well as streaming to ESPN, covering all of the various sports teams. I dove into photography during my studies and took all of the knowledge from my video background and transitioned it into creating compelling stills.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
All the way back in high school I applied for the highly selective television production crew. It was there that I found my love for the camera as I directed, shot, and edited various commercials for school clubs.
