Introduction: The main thing is EXPERIENCE! With weddings especially, things go wrong all the time! Newbies just don't know what to do. I once took sunset portraits in a parking lot, making sure to make the cars go black so you couldn't tell it was a parking lot. Another late bride had her formal bridal portraits in a bathroom and I blurred out the background. Just because a wedding runs late, doesn't mean you can't have beautiful pictures. We once borrowed the yellow slickers from the valet guys at a rainy wedding to showcase the crazy weather this couple had. I love to try to personalize each wedding with beautiful images! I love working with people and I love the creativity of photography! We specialize in family portraits and weddings so we are challenged on a regular basis to come up with new and exciting poses, backgrounds, lighting techniques, etc. Because I've been a photographer for such a long time, it's so gratifying to come up with cool ideas that are unique to each client. I AM SO LUCKY to live in Southwest Florida where the weather is fabulous most of the time. My business is a happy business - people getting married, coming together with the family and/or friends. It's a business full of LOVE!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We specialize in family portraits and weddings. Most of our work is done on the beach, with tough lighting! We have a lot of experience overcoming the harsh lighting, wind and other obstacles that Mother Nature throws at us. Always be sure to hire a west coast photographer to ensure they know how to photograph in really difficult lighting. We love the beach and love taking pictures of people so it's a great job!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

The advice I give anyone looking for a photographer is to check the photographer's proofs. Everyone puts their best work on their website but those pictures might not be a true representation of what you will actually get. Proofs will show you what a client receives from the beginning of the session to the end. Almost everyone puts their proofs online so it should raise a red flag if a photographer doesn't want to share the link.
