Cleaning out a 92 year old woman's home. Gladys moved into an ALF. She didn't seem to mind getting rid of her old stuff. When I asked her if she was okay with it being discarded, Gladys shrugged and said ...its just stuff...and I always hated cooking anyhow. One of my favorite customers.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Customers should inquire if the company they choose are State licensed and insured. A company might come in at a much cheaper rate, but to avoid dump fees they dispose of your items illegally in the woods or dumpsters that are not theirs. I have rummaged thru and cleaned many bags in the woods finding credit card statements, phone bills, and love letters that "companies" have dumped. Licensed and insured companies would be risking their business if they get caught doing this. And we don't like litter bugs and dislike having to clean up the mess they leave!
