As an experienced actor, I know the importance of broadening my skills and looked to Naomi to help me begin to develop my "singing muscles" to reach my goal of having a serviceable singing voice that plays well in live musical theater. My lessons are ongoing, and Naomi is perceptive, understanding and brilliant. I am making progress, and intend to keep working with Naomi for a long time. I highly recommend her!
Right away Susan was open to what I was looking for in a music lesson and what I was looking for in a teacher. She not only has wonderful techniques to show you in order to open up your voice but she has a wonderful personality and is willing to work with you in a positive way. She has encouraged me to work hard and has been very helpful in finding the music that appeals to me and my taste. I couldn't be happier with Susan as my teacher and I would recommend her to anyone that wants to improve their singing abilities.
I spoke with Dennis extensively before my first lesson and he assured me that he would be able to teach me how to play guitar. Dennis informed me that I would know the fret board and would know a song by the end of my first lesson. He asked me to give him eight lessons and he would prove to me that he can teach me to play the guitar. I was very hesitant in hiring Dennis because of all the past experiences I have had with other instructors. So, I decided to give Dennis a shot at this challenge. Dennis will be my final guitar instructor. If he can't teach me no one can. I have had 6+ guitar instructors since I started playing and taking guitar lessons as a New Year's resolution in 2016. I have struggled in this journey and I started to think that maybe playing guitar just wasn't for me. The time and money I was spending with other instructors and saw no progression was making me think this way. I have been playing and taking lessons for over a year now and still do not know one complete song from beginning to end. I have always wanted to play the guitar and want to possibly make this a second income source by playing for the public. Dennis arrived at my home for my first lesson this past Tuesday. He introduced himself and is very laid back and friendly but professional. We immediately went to work and he informed me again of what we were going to accomplish in that first lesson. That is exactly what happened! By the end of my first lesson I knew the fret board and learned how to play the song Knockin on Heaven's Door. He taught me more in the first hour than other instructors did in several lessons. I felt like a weight had been lifted off of me, because he made me feel like I can accomplish this journey of learning to play the guitar. Dennis does charge a higher price per lesson then any of my other instructors and his technique is wellworth it! Especially when you are in the comfort of your own home and who doesn't already feel comfortable with where they live? I know that I have only had one lesson with Dennis but he is encouraging and has excited me again about playing the guitar. Dennis delivered what he said he was going to do and that means a lot to me! As I told Dennis in one of our initial conversations, he will be my last guitar instructor. Because he will either teach me or guitar really isnt for me...
Marcia is an excellent piano instructor. I am very happy with the lessons my daughter is currently taking. Marcia is patient, and is clear in giving instruction and explanation to each step or lesson that is given. I would definitely recommend her!
My 9 year old daughter had never picked up a guitar before taking lessons with Brenden. She's doing great and is falling in love with it already. I'm so impressed that he's not just teaching her how to play the notes but everything from good posture to proper positioning to reading music. Brenden is personable, patient and professional (alliteration not intended). I would recommend him to anyone wanted to learn from scratch or hone your craft. He's a great teacher.
Worked with Al, the past 7 years in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Al is a first rate entertainer. He played several venues in Las Cruces and it was amazing that he was able to provide vocals related to the top singers of years past and in particular the " Swinging sounds of Frank Sinatra " He also has vocal expertise in singing opera and classical music vocals. In his performances he also is able to bridge the generational gap of his audience as well as provide informative educational information to the audience. A " real professional entertainer".
Rob does a great job making my bass lessons fun and engaging, and is great at matching the material to the individual student. I really like that he writes things down for you to reference later and answers questions well. He's definitely taken the intimidation out of learning an instrument. Overall, he's very professional and is a teacher I'd recommend to anyone.
Even after mixed up locations Carl was flexible enough to reset that same day. As a first trail lesson Carl assessed my current skills, Gave me some exercises, even showed me a song and a few new chords. He demonstrated his playing skill in several different genre. I give a 4 only because I am super critical and "perfect" (a 5) is a really high bar. I am certain I will have more lessons with Carl.
I just had a quick question to ask Allyson about a specific piece I was working on. I could immediately tell that she knows her stuff. She was able to clearly answer my question, while also demonstrating her explanation on the piano. Whether looking for a quick answer or searching for ways to pursue formal lessons, I would certainly consider starting with Allyson.
I met Jackie as a fellow cast member in a local musical show. Her experience and enthusiasm overwhelmed me! I taught piano lessons for a number of years and studied piano and voice in college, but I needed some "quick" expertise to help me with my songs in the musical. Jacki was just what I needed; reminders of how to sing properly and expert advice on how to do my best as a member of the chorus in a musical production. I have enjoyed every lesson with her and each time I spend time with her, I learn something new and am reminded of why I love music so much!! She is more then a teacher, she is a mentor and a friend!
Very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Looking forward to the rest of the lessons.
Rafael is like a grandfather to me. He allows me to call him if I have any questions and introduced me to a lot of new cellists to listen to. Rafael has been very understanding of my schedule as a full-time student and we meet at the most convenient time for me. His books and lessons always brighten my day and I always learn something new. He believes in his students and their talent, I couldn't ask for a better teacher.
Great first lesson. I learned so much already. He is very easy to work with.
Rob is very patient and so encouraging! I enjoy our lessons and he always follows up with a re-cap. He is always open to anything you want to learn.
I have forgotten many of the skills I learned many years ago when I was in chorus, but working with Mr. Croft is starting to wake back up. 👌👍
Our daughter really enjoyed her voice lessons with Bach Entertainment.
My grandchildren love taking lessons at Creative Keys and especially enjoy performing at the recitals. I'm looking forward to seeing how much they'll grow musically over the coming years!
Taylor is a great guy who is good at teaching the piano. I rarely feel frustrated when working with him, as his patience is infectious. He is also very flexible on scheduling. Within the first month, I have already learned how to read notes, play several shorter songs, and overall feel much more comfortable when sitting at the piano.
Working with Gayle has been a wonderful experience. I came to her for voice lessons, but overtime I realized that I am gaining so much more. She is highly skilled and makes me feel so comfortable. Gayle has not only helped me with the technical aspect of singing, but she understands that singing is more of an emotional experience. She has helped me break through a lot of self limitations, free of judgement. I value our lessons and look forward to them each week. Thank you Gayle for helping me tap into a part of myself that I've dreamed of for so long.
I began learning to play the cello with Gonca about ten years ago while in high school. She started me off learning the Suzuki method. She provided ample feedback and experienced advice on the nuances of performing during my learning, which is difficult to find in other experienced performers. Whenever I reached an impasse in my practices she would provide me with alternative studies to break through those difficulties. She strives to teach more than just the ability to play, but to cultivate the maturity to become a superb performer. Though it has been a few years since I moved away and had the pleasure to study under Gonca Huff, I am always thinking back to her instruction on every new musical challenge.
