Excellent service. I was in desperate need of the service provided by this company. Michelle Tanner came to my home and helped me organize for a move. She helped me coordinate with local charities to donate items and helped organize all of my household items. She then showed up on the day of the move and helped organize getting everything into the truck. I have Michelle in my contacts now and I will use Catagorica again. When I tell you that Catagorica is the go to and guru of setting up your new home...it is the absolute truth! She came out, looked over the ton of work I had to get unpacked and set about relieving any worries or budget concerns. She implemented organizational items and made space where I wasn’t even sure was possible. While my apartment is spacious I don’t have a lot of storage space and Categorica optimized and added items that fit my style and turned my living space into a new home. We still have more to do; but she’s so booked up; I’m more than willing and happy to wait for her schedule to open. I had the whole apartment filled with boxes and it wasn’t organized at all and she came in one day and eliminated all the junk and put everything together for me. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?There is a step by step process that I take to help you create the organized, functional and stress free spaces in your home that you desire. Initial Consultation: The first step of the process is an in home consultation. I need to see the space and the items within the space to give you an accurate estimate for the project. This consultation typically takes about an hour. During this visit we will discuss the problem areas for the rooms and spaces that you need help with, what your goals are for the space and any other concerns that you have. At the end of this visit I will provide you with a written estimate of how many hours the project will take to complete and the cost for the project. Sorting: The second step is sorting the items in the space. I prefer to work with you however, I am willing to work alone if that is better for your schedule. During the sorting process we will create separate bins or label large items that you want to keep, relocate to a different room, donate, sell or trash. Shopping: Depending upon the project it may be necessary to purchase organizational supplies or containers. You will be asked to provide a shopping budget for supplies and I will do all of the shopping for you. Implementation: This is the final step of the process and where the magic happens. I will organize all of the items within the space based on your goals for the room and how you want that space to function.
